Busy Beez General Store — Local services in Mammoth Lakes

I'll leave comments about the contents of the store out, but the cashier (owner?) was incredibly rude and disrespectful. She was eyeing us specifically as we were just looking around. My friend accidentally went into the area in the back thinking there was a bathroom there and he wanted to use it, but stepped out as soon as he realized there wasn't one. Innocent mistake, meant no harm. The cashier then just kicked us out even though we explained and apologized. I understand she may not have liked the situation, but at least she could have been a little polite.

This is unfortunately the same behavior I'd encountered when I'd visited the store a couple years ago, but wrote off as a one time incident. Other people have reviews with similar comments. I don't say this often, but I hope they go out...

Not surprised this store has low ratings. The staff are rude and completely unaware of the law. I entered with my service dog, and the dark-haired cashier told me dogs weren’t allowed. I explained it’s a service dog. She rudely asked me to explain what my disability is — which is illegal. My husband told her the only legal question she can ask is what task the dog performs. She had no idea about ADA rights.

I didn’t push it this time, but next time I won’t hesitate to report this store. Under California law, denying access to a service dog can result in a $4,000 fine....

Rudest lady running the store. Total Karen. Confrontational, acts like she runs the town. Don’t give her your business. I have never written a bad review in my lifetime but this lady deserves it. She was bragging to other people how she threw out a couple of young men because she thought they were buying alcohol underage. Turns out they are both 22. They showed drivers license and passport and she still thought it was OK to treat them badly and then brag to other patrons about it. Go to Vons, behaviour like this shouldn’t...
