PROS:||||The price could NOT be beat for this expensive area. I'd rate it a 3.75 out of 5. My friend and I stayed in the one bedroom suite. It was cozy, but not cramped. Two people can easily share spaces in this unit. ||||*I do not know what the motel accommodations are like since we stayed in a small suite-cabin during the off-season of late October.||||Perfect location from which to explore every direction. ||||I messaged that I'd be arriving after the 9pm closing, so they left the key for me at the front desk. Friendly and helpful staff. Easy check in and check out. ||||The parking space was right in front of the little cabin, which was convenient when loading and unloading coolers and food, hiking stuff, etc. ||||In October, it was quiet. Only a few others were staying there and we rarely heard them. ||||The weather was pleasant. Even so, we did use the heaters. The bathroom and living room heaters worked like champs. but the bedroom heater didn't work very well. ||||The kitchen was fine and the little fridge worked so well after the first day, it froze the food on the first shelf. ||||The shower water was hot and the spray was solid. Four large towels were provided. ||||The couch was plush and soft. My friend slept on the couch and said it was very comfy. ||||The bed in the room wasn't very comfortable, but it wasn't too uncomfortable, either. It was just.. meh. The bed was king size, and the bedding was nice. ||||The bedroom had a ceiling fan and windows that opened. The kitchen and bathroom windows also opened. ||||Both rooms had small flat screen TV with a decent selection of channels. The rooms had cute fishing decor. I would stay here again. The accommodations were better than I'd anticipated and it was a good value for the price.||||||CONS: ||The floor was very dirty - both the dingy rug and the wood flooring. Without shoes on, the soles of my feet/ socks would turn black after a few steps. ||||The furniture and decor is old and outdated, which wouldn't bother me except that it was musty, and my nose kept stuffing up. ||||No Wi-Fi, but we didn't expect any.||||The shower was small and the floor unstable. It sagged under the weight of the person stepping in the shower. It felt like water damage had eroded the floor under the shower pan. ||||The hair dryer was was attached to the bathroom wall - one of those mini-dryers for traveling. It didn't work well, and it kept sucking in stray hairs and burning them.||||The bed in the bedroom was soft-ish, but had molded to two body shapes with a higher hump in the middle. ||||The bedroom heater didn't work very well, and pretty much stopped working the last morning, blowing cold air out of 3 of the 4 quadrants of the vent. ||||The parking lot has some tight squeezes and an entry at a sharp angle. It was a little difficult to find in the dark. ||||||||In sum, I would stay here again. I stayed here with a friend for a few days to explore the area and hike. As such, we only needed a place to crash with hot water for showers and a kitchen to pack lunches. If I were wanting to book a luxury resort-type cabin, or a cabin for a holiday stay, this would NOT be it. As a cheap, budget-friendly outdoorsy option, it was the perfect home base for exploring during...

Read moreThis is by far the worst place i have EVER stayed in. Everything they did from the time i book3ed the room until we left this dump was shady and misleading and unsafe. First, ive actually stayed here before when their regular rate is about $75 bucks a night but because it was a special weekend i was now being charged $130 bucks a night because they are taking advantage and price gouging on a special weekend. It says on their website that i would only be charged for 1 night upon booking and other charges would be charged to my card at the end of my stay. Well they charged my card the full 2 day fee of $300 fricken dollars the next day. When i got there and asked the manager why myycard was charged I was first attacked verbally and attempts at intimidation were used against me. When i didnt back down from this attack i was told that I couldnt have the room i ordered and told i could have what they had or leave. With NO OTHER ROOMS AVAILable in the whole town i was forced to have my 6 member family stay in a studio with 1 bed and a couch. The Gay male desk jockey that was working here needs to be removed and beaten for the way he treats women. If the owners of this building dont get this disrespectfull a-hole out of here , he will cost them ALOT of money in lost business and im sure after talking to some of the other workers here has already cost them more than they will ever know. And on top of the rude and unprofessional behavior i recieved, my grandfather slipped and fell on concrete steps that have no signs to caution patrons about watching their step, and other thigs that by law they are suppose to have so their patrons can access things safely. Because of their neglegence, my grandfather may have have a fractured hip. Even after this they did NOTHING to try and better an already bad situation accept give us some extra towels that made me itch. We never had a Maid come to our room to do anything for 3 full days and 2 nights but 5 minutes after we checked out there she was. This was a complete joke of a Motel and i hope that after i file a lawsuit against them for neglegence that im able to own this place and fire that man that managed thios place. Dont waste your money here when there are plenty of other good places to stay in Mammoth that know how valuable customers are to their busnesses and will do anything to make you happy. This IS NOT that place at all and dontt let them fool you with their nice approach to get you to spend your money here. Once they have you, your at their mercy and they arent shy about telling you that. They ruined my weekend and will do the same with yours without batting an eye. DONT GIVE THEM THE CHANCE. STAY ELSEWHERE.or you will be thje next one posting a review...
