Strange experience at this store yesterday with my husband and 4 kids. My oldest daughter was looking for a jelly cat stuffed animal and we were thrilled to see this store had a jelly cat sticker on their door so we figured they must have a ton if they are advertising it on the front door. We go in and walk the storeâs loop picking up stuffed animals and seeing if they are the brand we are looking for. They had a ton of stuffed animals all around but none were âjelly catsâ. It was fine and we were ready to leave and the lady behind the counter working says⌠âWere you looking for jelly cats?â We reply Yes and she says. âI donât understand how come people donât just ask for what they are looking for.â She said this is in a tone that was so rude as if she was so annoyed that we walked around the store in the first place. I didnât even respond to her comment. She turns around and under a towel behind the counter she brings out three small and random jelly cat items. Behind the counter you guys! No freakin wonder we didnât find what we were looking for. They were not even out on display! At this point I wasnât ever going to give the lady business because had already killed our fun vibe with her comment about asking for help before we try to find something in her store. Walking around the store looking for an item is half the fun. Unless Iâm in a rush, I always look for an item myself before asking an employee for help. She was eating her lunch behind the younger as we walked in, never said hello can I help you find something or anything to the matter, so she didnât seem like she was in a helpful mood in the first place. A little tip for this lady⌠please remember you work at a kids store. The feeling the kids get when they step inside and see all the toys and the possibility that maybe their parents will say yes to them getting something is half the fun. Also, if you donât plan on selling a good amount of a particular item, maybe take down the sticker you have right as you enter the store! It was a little bit of a tease to see a sticker for the exact brand we had been looking for only to find out she had three small random ones left (and one giant sized unicorn). I left wondering why I didnât just make a rude comment back but then I remembered that Iâm trying to set an example for my kids and commenting back to her would have been just as rude as she was. So for those reading this, I hope you have a better experience here but go in knowing some workers here would rather you ask for what youâre looking for rather than take a...
Read moreI would rate the store "zero stars" but had to give a rating to leave a review. The lady working didn't have good customer service skills and didn't welcome customers or ask if they needed help. She was on the phone. She didn't offer to help an individual using a mobility device. Also, a major concern is her store isn't accessible for individuals using mobility devices. Aisles are not wide, there's at least once step customers need to climb, and merchandise is cluttered around. Not an ADA friendly shop! I don't know Mammoth's handicap accessible codes but this shop seems to be in violation. Not sure what Mammoth can do to make the shop layout easier for individuals with disabilities or special needs? Ramps in the store or one level would be helpful without items cluttering aisles. She also doesn't like "repeat" customers and keeps track of whose been in her store before. When the customer returns to buy a item and look at other items, says "You already looked at the whole store once...". Very rude. Beware.
The lady or those who work with her, remove part of the hang tags on Douglas toys. Toy collectors like the original tags on items they purchased. By her removing, ripping, or cutting off the rest of the tag, could cause the items to lose value. Not sure if she does this on the Jellycat or other brands of toys? The toys are expensive and missing part of the original hang tags. It should be the customers' discretion to keep or remove a hang tag. Not her or those who work there.
Overall: bad customer service, overpriced for incomplete merchandise, and make store ADA compliant...
Read moreWorst customer service of my life, I was in there shopping to get my daughters a gift and the owner followed me around like I was not good enough to be in there. Than I asked if she had any diaper bags, she Rudely said â no we donât carry things like that you have to go somewhere else. I decided to maybe surprise my 3 girls with an outfit, so I took pictures to show my wife. The owner said âare you taking picture of my product, I put a lot of research into what I get for my store and you need to do the same, you canât take pictures in my store. She lost a customer.
I donât recommend ever shopping at this place, itâs not worth the time and the prices are read Ridiculously expensive. Mainly the customer service...
