Wegmans — Attraction in Manheim Township

Love this Wegmans!

Very conveniently located. Ample parking. Offers curbside pickup.

Wegmans has instituted excellent cleaning and safety protocols in the wake of Covid-19, and they are followed closely. That is very appreciated by me and my family.

There is a wide selection of local and organic produce seasonally. Over the summer we purchased locally grown heirloom tomatoes every time we shopped. Now, there is a great assortment of apples. The produce is always top of the line.

Wegmans brand products are definitely a good bargain. Great quality and good prices. We love many different items, such as the flavored sparkling water, unsalted mixed nuts, and their brand of chocolate. Their flavored coffees are delicious.

The meat and poultry sections are top notch as well. Meat can be a bit pricey, but there is a very wide selection and the quality is excellent.

Be sure to check out the cheese counter. We try something different every time. There's a wide variety of cheese from around the world, and a knowledgeable staff to help you make a great selection. There is also a good selection of cold cuts and dried meats to accompany your cheese selection.

There are some great ready made meals available. Check out the sushi, especially the Maryland crab roll. There are all kinds of things to choose from. There are also prepared main courses that can popped into the oven. Lots of different cuisine to choose from as well.

Of course, the employees really make the store. Everyone we have encountered is friendly and helpful, and if one can't answer your question, they will find someone who can.

To sum up, excellent store...

I think Wegmans as a company is very ungrateful for the time and hard work spent by third party shoppers. I know many people that are dependent upon grocery delivery and am going to let them know that Wegmans isn’t friendly towards shoppers and doesn’t even allow them on the property unless they already have an order thus forcing the shoppers to wait in the neighboring properties of smaller stores! It has almost become quite hostile of them… They have plenty of room and it’s just plain mean, rude, and disrespectful not only to the shoppers but to the neighboring businesses as well. They reap all the rewards yet are still ignorant about it. I’m sure something happened somewhere that they made this decision but hey you allow the orders, you want the money, so you get the shoppers waiting! Just take yourself off the online platform if you don’t want shoppers around, I have no idea why the platforms don’t delete you! I know that there are poor role models of being a respectable person or business out there and worry that generationally manners are disappearing. But kids prove me wrong everyday which is why such a disgraceful action from a company I used to like is really bothering me. You, Wegmans, are the problem! And you’ve proven it through your actions, thank you for showing us all your ignorance and how unamerican and detached you’ve become from real values! I will be advocating for your downfall, there are plenty of more respectable businesses that can...

Wegman's was highly rated 10 years ago. Since COVID, they've truly "lost the plot." Prices are WAY up, way higher than other stores. Oh sure, Wegman's always cost most because the quality and selection was better, and I accepted that. Now, they are out of their minds. And because of this, people are voting with their wallets. You can tell by how low-stocked or even empty it is when you walk in. Gone is the food and salad bars, as well as the coffee shop. The bakery is at a minimum, and what their is is grossly overpriced. Same with their wonderful prepared meals. (I liked to stop in the morning and get their bowls for lunch.) Today, I'd had enough. $12-14 for a lunch bowl? $12-15 for a sandwich or small sub made with Boar's Head deli meat? Uh....NO. I can go to WAWA or Jersey Mikes and get a whole freakin' meal for this amount of money, not to mention just a plain ol' Greek Diner around here with lunch specials. An ENTIRE MEAL......for what they are charging for a sub or small chicken bowl. GTFOOH with these ridiculous prices, or else CLOSE. The reason the shelves in the prepared foods area look slimmer, is because people are letting it SIT and walking away (as I did this morning) and hence to reduce having to throw food away once is expires, they are just making and stocking less. Not a good sign for Wegman's. Get a freakin'...
