There are some pretty good deals for back-to-school shopping, so two of my sisters and I wanted to shop there. We looked around for clothes that interested us, just like any other customer would. We all went our separate ways because we all have varying styles.
One of my sisters and I ended up by the shoe section. She had asked me about a pair of shoes that interested her, but there weren't any of her size on the shelves. I told her to find a worker and ask him/her to see if there were any more in stock. We brought the shoe and its box to the worker, I believe his name was Matt. We didn't say anything to him yet because he was with another customer, so we waited patiently holding onto the shoes and its contents.
The worker was helping a customer with two young children. They were also looking for shoes. My sister and I waited a while, but the lady seemed to have needed the help. We then decided to look around at other shoes.
As I was wandering down the men's shoe aisles, the worker and the lady were apparently not even talking about shoes or that she needed help finding shoes for her or her children (they did at first when my sister and I were standing in front of them, but they didn't once we left). The worker and the lady customer talked about the customer's 20-year old daughter who tried to put in Harry Potter merchandise into the cart of another store, trying to be sneaky with her mother. The lady customer caught her daughter trying to get the Harry Potter merchandise and told her daughter to put it away because it had no relevance in school shopping. The conversation then went on to talk about how the daughter was not going to school at the moment, as I recall hearing. They talked about how the daughter was having trouble at her job, wherever that may be. My point is that their conversation had no relevance as to how the lady customer needed any assistance from the worker. Granted, a customer and worker can have small talk, but if a worker sees another customer standing in front of him/her with shoes and its contents, I'd hope that the worker would tell the other customer to hold up with the conversation that has nothing to do with the store's merchandise and help the other customer with their situation.
I decided to wander around the store some more, hoping that the customer and the worker's conversation would pass. I came back after about 15 minutes, and my sister was still waiting for them to finish conversing. I told her to just find another worker, and I told her that there were many workers up front by the registers.
She and I walked over to the registers and asked a female worker for some assistance. She used her machine thingy to call for help, asking for Matt to come assist us. We then walked back to the shoe section, and right as we turned the corner to the area, the worker (Matt) asked us from a distance how he could help us. He clearly knew that we were the customers who needed assistance, having asked us from a distance how he could help. Like, really? He clearly knew.
He looked up to see if the shoes were in stock, and unfortunately they weren't. He did say there were some in Green Bay and Sheboygan and that we could also order online. He knew what he was doing, so I can't bash him on that. He did that part of his job quite well.
However, making a customer wait for almost 30 minutes, seeing us standing with shoes and its contents with obvious questions in need of answers, prolonging a conversation with a woman customer about irrelevant topics, and talking to us from a distance because he knew we were the customers who asked for assistance are all reasons why this worker, Matt, is so unprofessional. If he saw us standing there and was having a conversation with another customer unrelated to shoes or Kohl's, excuse yourself from that customer politely and help the other customer(s) in need. Once you have completed your assistance, go back to the customer and talk about life, love, money, sex, whatever - your prerogative. This worker, Matt, needs to be way more...
Read moreI recently had an outstanding shopping experience at Kohl's in Manitowoc, and I wanted to take a moment to share my positive feedback. The level of service I received from the staff, especially Nancy, was nothing short of exceptional.
From the moment I entered the store, it was evident that the staff at Kohl's Manitowoc take professionalism, kindness, and friendliness seriously. However, it was my encounter with Nancy that truly stood out and made my shopping experience unforgettable.
During my visit, I had a question about a purse I was interested in purchasing. Nancy, who was at the checkout counter nearby, overheard my inquiry and immediately stepped in to assist me. She went above and beyond to help me find a suitable discount for the purse I had my eye on. Despite multiple attempts, it seemed like we couldn't find the perfect deal.
However, Nancy didn't stop there. She suggested a brilliant solution – she offered to hold the purse for me overnight so that I could take advantage of an upcoming sale the following day. I happily agreed to her thoughtful suggestion.
When I returned to the store the next day, I was pleasantly surprised by the substantial discount that the sale offered. Thanks to Nancy's proactive approach, I was able to purchase the purse she had held for me at nearly half of its original price. I was so thrilled with the savings that I ended up picking up not one, but two new purses.
Nancy's dedication to ensuring that I received the best possible value on my purchase left a lasting impression on me. It's truly heartwarming to know that there are sales managers like Nancy who genuinely care about their customers and are willing to go the extra mile to make them feel valued.
I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge the remarkable difference that a thoughtful manager like Nancy can make in the lives of customers who shop at your store. Her exceptional customer service has certainly earned my loyalty to Kohl's, and I look forward to returning to the Manitowoc store for future shopping needs.
Thank you, Kohl's, for employing individuals like Nancy who truly understand the importance of customer satisfaction and who make shopping at your store a delightful experience. Keep up the...
Read moreI don't know why I keep giving the store another chance, perhaps maybe it's because there are not too many quality stores to shop for clothing. Back by the clearance section clothes all over the floor all over the racks. Can never find anyone to help you perhaps maybe because the lack of employees who wants a job but don't do it and then they want to get paid for doing it. No consideration for those of us who are disabled. They make you walk around instead of just inviting you up to their station for checkout, too many people in line waiting and not enough opened registers to accommodate the influx of people. They don't provide carts to get around or places to sit for those of us who are not able to get around and yet after you walk the whole store they expect you to stand around for another 10 minutes to get checked out. I'm going to predict the future here so it's going to fall into you cuz your liability lays on you with all the clothing on the floor I almost tripped by the clearance section I also took some pictures in case there's a problem with anyone else who files a claim. Unfriendly service that's consistent with the cold young people that they're hiring very cold distant no service with a smile anymore that's long gone in this store. You act like you're doing a customer favor you're not, your customers are your bread and butter and you will lose them and end up closing down. Keep that in your...
