Encore Consignment and Bridal Boutique — Attraction in Mankato

I went here looking for my wedding dress. They had a lot of different options and styles. The employee was very kind and helpful, wasnt even annoyed when we showed up close to closing, since we didn't pay attention to the store times. However, I "found" my dress and it was used and absolutely filthy dirty. When I brought up how visibly dirty the dress was she only wanted to give me $50 off, still making this USED and DIRTY dress almost $1000 I felt very unsure about the price and quality of the dress, so ended up searching for the dress I found, but in a new condition just to compare prices. I eneded up finding the dress, CLEAN and BRAND NEW for only $100 more than the consignment shop wanted to charge me.

I never did call back to see if they'd give me a better price on the dirty dress, so I'm not sure if this is something they would have fixed... but it definitely turned me off for buying my wedding dress at any consignment shop.

I love this store! There's a really nice selection of clothing and jewelry. And, I'm a jewelry girl.....so, I get stuck there, before I get anywhere else, usually! The staff is very kind, helpful, and fun! A special shout out to Bonnie! U are great! I was in there way back in February, when winter started. As I recall, I ended up trying on all these things & probably getting too much, while I'd peak out the window to see if the snow was really coming down hard yet or not! Lol. We had a lot of fun that day! So, it was a good break for me, before the storm that was really the rest of the entire winter! Not a fan of it being too cold or too hot. What ever happened to spring & fall?! I definitely look forward to going Encore sometime again soon. I think most ppl would find the shop to be a good find! So, if ya haven't been in to this store, ya should really take a look! I never comment in the review section of most businesses. So, that goes to show I must really like it! Off to go...

I would even do a zero star. Went in to look at bridal dresses and the employee who i think was the owner hovered around me the whole time and was snotty and very unprofessional towards me. My fiancé even thought she thought we were going to steal something - NOT HOW YOU TREAT CUSTOMERS!!! Another time me and my significant other came in just to browse the clothes and the employee came up to him and said this is a women's store as to say men aren't welcome. If this is how this business treats potential customers by chasing them away and being very rude to them. They SHOULD NOT be in business. Also to note I've worked in customer service many years and I know how to treat customers. I was very put off on how we were treated. Needless to say will not be giving them my business at all.
