Really disappointed to have to leave such a review since I love coming here for everything BUT appliances. I've been here three times for appliances and all three times the section is void of any workers. They call for help, no one arrives. There's usually a line of customers in the appliance section waiting and I wind up leaving after 20-30 minutes. I went here today to finally buy a refrigerator after it kept flipflopping from sold out to in stock. I wanted to price match and if possible get 10% off as well as I had read that Home Depot will match and beat competitor pricing in store. After again not finding anyone in the appliance section I went to the front Customer Service and they were unaware of the process as it relates to appliances and told me to go to appliances... Finally I told them no one is back there. So the supervisor finally said sure he could price match but couldn't do 10% unless Best Buy had that model in stock (which they did). So I quickly run to Best Buy to get a picture of the elusive refrigerator on the floor with price tag or a flyer, but they don't have it on the floor nor do they have flyers but they DO have the item in stock and can deliver Monday (It is Friday right now). I tell them straight up I am fixing to go to Home Depot to request my price beat if they want to try to match the supposed Home Depot price beat. For reference this was a $1500 refrigerator at Home Depot for $1440 at Best Buy so if Home Depot matched and then discounted 10% then it would be around $1300 pretax. Turns out Best Buy can't wiggle in that 10%, that's fine. But before I head back to Home Depot I call them and finally an appliance person answers and they say that price match is true, yes, price beat is not true for appliances because their appliances are almost always special order - they don't carry any in store. To say the least, I spent a good portion of my day running around trying to find a knowledgeable Home Depot employee to help me buy an appliance - and going back and forth between Home Depot and Best Buy to prove something that said IN STOCK on the Best Buy webpage that I showed Home Depot only to find out it isn't actually a thing? I'm not even sure if that is true or not but one thing I am sure of is that I was so annoyed calling Home Depot in the Best Buy parking lot that I threw in the towel, walked back into Best Buy, and immediately bought the refrigerator from them because at least when I walked in the door I was greeted and immediately assisted with my purchase. Why drive back through traffic and wait around even longer, again, to argue a price match with Home Depot, when I can get it from Best Buy who's on it. Bizarre to me as I'd think the appliance section would be one of the most lucrative sections for the company and the employee if they get commission. Honestly, zero employees in the section. I wish I were joking.
EDIT: I made the mistake of ordering online and delivering to this store. It is an impressively awful system. They're saying its going to take 2 weeks to fullfil the order. The shipping tracker doesn't track anything, it just says it's been shipped and we'll tell you when it has arrived. Flabbergasted something would take two weeks to ship I called after a week and the audio system says it has arrived. I speak to a person to verify (evidently NOT from this store even though I call the stores number), they said it was there a day after I ordered. I happily drive to the store, it's not there, but don't worry it will show up tomorrow (still, before the system claims it will be here). I used to like Home Depot but this is a total shitshow at this point. I am never using Home Depot again. I should have purchased through one of the other...
Read moreI recently purchased some material from Home Depot in Mansfield. What started out as a headache turned out to be a blessing.
I recently lost my job and wanted to start some woodworking jobs on the side. My plan was to purchase some material online and have my wife pick it up on her way home from work. However, I knew that the plywood would not fit in her car without being cut first. So I called the local store and asked if I could get it cut. The guy in the lumber department said that it would be fine as long as it was paid for first. I said that I was paying for it online. He told me that it would be fine.
Later on, I received a call from the store but missed the call. When I called them back, the customer service lady told me that I would have to come in to have the pieces cut, I said that is not convenient for my wife. She transferred me to the lumber department and I talked to a different guy. After a long discussion, he said that they would cut it.
When my wife showed up to pick up the material, the plywood had not been cut. My wife had just gotten off work. She is a 4th-grade teacher and dealing with the covid pandemic and trying to juggle teaching in the classroom and on zoom at the same time has been very trying. She did not have the time or the patience to sit in the parking lot to wait for the material to be cut. After a long discussion back and forth, we told them to just cancel the order.
Benjamin the store manager stepped in and made us an offer that we couldn't refuse. I never really thought about Home Depot having great customer service. I never really thought of them having bad customer service either though, just average. Well, Benjamin at the Mansfield store has changed my mind. Without really knowing it, his actions were a blessing to our family and we will continue to shop...
Read moreI contracted with Home Depot in Mansfield TX, to have my carpet replaced, I was very happy with the process and the price. Home Depot contracts with Cooper Installer to do the installation. On April 12, the installers showed up and they were very professional and all in all did a great job, but with any large project there can be a problem. This is when you can tell if you are dealing with professionals or just a company that just want to take your money. After a week I noticed a problem with one selection of the carpet. I went back to Home Depot and talked to the sales rep Helen, she gave me a contact name Briana who is the manager over the department and said that she would make arrangements for someone to contact me. I called Briana and left a voice mail explaining the problem and asked for her to call me back, I never heard from her. I called her again and left another voice mail, again I never heard back from her. I went back to the store and talked to Helen again, she said that Briana is in the office, she tried calling her, but she did not pickup. Helen went back to the office and talked to Briana, she came back took down all my information and a went back and gave Briana the info. Helen came back and told me that Briana would contact the installers and they would be in touch with me. A couple days later a Cooper manager contacted me and I showed him the problem, he said that he would have a crew come out and take of it. They showed up a couple days later, and fixed the area, everything is great now. All in all I am very happy going with Home Depot and Cooper installers they did a great job and willing to back up there work. The only thing is I would not deal with the Briana from Home Depot, even though she is the manager of the department she is very hard...
