This is the only Home Depot location where I’ve had consistently poor experiences — unlike the excellent service I’ve received at the Sarasota, FL and King of Prussia, PA stores. First, I rented a tiller that was in terrible condition — poorly maintained, kept stalling, and clearly not serviced before being rented out. It wasted my time and disrupted my work. Second, I ordered 120 bags of white mini marble chips and was delivered two full pallets of black asphalt instead. The load blocked my driveway and delayed an important project. I spent an entire afternoon trying to get help from both the store and corporate, but no one could solve the issue or authorize removal. All I was told was to “wait.” Third, I ordered new concrete blocks for a project, but what I received were clearly used blocks — covered in dried mortar, chipped, and completely unacceptable for new construction. Marple is the only store where I’ve experienced this level of negligence — poor equipment, incorrect deliveries, and used materials passed off as new. I cannot recommend this location to anyone expecting reliable service.

Great experience with customer service department, patient with prior customer doing a 1 hour return of many small items (this is where a do it yourself kiosk would not cost HD so much in labor on a liberal return policy that a customer clearly wasted his own time 2x buying a hundred small items and going through the return line). My issue was getting around a delivery cost issue (again the root problem is departments act as isolated entities so one purchase in one dept is not credited toward free delivery level in another same-trip purchases). Customer service rep patiently did magical workarounds (requiring supervisor assist) that meant a lot for a customer spending over $700 on mostly appliances.

Stopped in Thursday and Good Friday before Easter for plants for the yard. What I found was a lot of dead plants and employees standing around ignoring just how bad garden department looks Why bother bringing them in at all.

Worst experience ever. Ken Cooper, Brian Carfrey, Jasmine Young, Dan Kelleney, Dan Bernaciak, Sue Mundy Should be avoided at all costs, they're useless. Their delivery service through Spirit in unreliable and incompetent. Ordered washer\dryer, supposed to be delivered Saturday, no call no show. Home Depot said would be delivered Sunday, no call no show. Monday Spirit said it could deliver Wednesday between 730 to 1130. At 930 Spirit called to say they only had the dryer, didn't know what happened to washer. I went to Home Depot, Broomall Pa, from 940 till 230 and got nowhere with all of the above people. First Spirit said GE didn't ship them the washer, but contacting GE they said they did ship them both. Spirit then fessed up an said washer got damaged and couldn't give a date when it could be delivered. I put in another order an Home Depot said that delivery date would be 1\27, another Saturday to sit around! Contacted a small store in Springfield (across from Michael's\Swiss Farms an they can deliver tomorrow. Same exact appliance that I was getting from Home Depot an for $10 less. Then spent another hour on the phone with Home Dump to cancel everything. Save yourself and don't go there, there is no service whatsoever. Spoke with the Corporate office so we'll see if they do anything. Would love it if all of the above get reprimanded, retrained, demoated and\or fired, especially Spirit. More to follow if I get a call back. One more note, not once did anyone offer compensation for all my invested time. One bright note Mary in customer service is a sweetheart but...

The Broomall Home Depot is the absolute worst! This store is not even deserving of a 1 star rating. Every time I go into this store it’s like entering the twilight zone!

We bought a refrigerator in store when our home refrigerator completely stopped working. At no time did the store rep mention that Home Depot will not install a refrigerator and ice machine to an existing copper water supply line. Four days later after not having a refrigerator or ice maker it’s finally delivery day. At which time the installers would not uninstall / take away our broken refrigerator, and install the new refrigerator. Back to the warehouse it went along with four wasted days of waiting for delivery. The installers told us that we were the second refrigerator out of four for the day that had the same issue with the store rep not asking if the supply lines were copper.

I’ve had countless other stories of absolute horrible customer service and interactions at this store. The best and most memorable was when two store employees were standing outside and blocking the store entrance having a smoke break and telling customers that the store was closing. Their intention was to have people turn around and leave. After going inside I asked another store employee if the store was closing and the rep informed me the store would be open for another 50 minutes to an hour.

I will never step foot in this store again and will drive the extra 15...

Home Depot makes the federal government look competent. About 2% of the employees know their stuff. The other 98%? I don't even know how they make it into work. Need to get a human on the phone to address a problem? Be prepared to do it at least four times and expect one of those times to end with someone quickly lifting up and putting back down the receiver to hang up on you. Need to order something online for in-store pickup? Good luck. From the figment-of-someone's-imagination inventory to the heavy reliance on JavaScript that makes it almost unusable on a mobile device to the incomparably lazy employees who don't want to fill the entire order, you're likely to have to reorder it a couple of different times from different stores. Were you lucky enough to actually get an order through and get a confirmation that it's been picked? Don't look so smug yet, because you're likely to stand there waiting for them to find it longer than it would have taken you to just go get it off the shelves yourself.

Actually, there is one thing that they do pretty well: returns. I don't know why, but that always seems to go smoothly.

I just opened a Lowe's Pro account. I'm not naive, I don't expect them to be any better, but I would at least like to bang my head against a different wall for a while.

Home depot, if you're interested and listening, I would be happy to give...
