I have wanted to check this place out for a while, so I finally did. I was not disappointed. Like vinyl? Go check them out. They have a fantastic selection of both vintage and new records in well arranged rasck. I picked up a new copy of ZZ Tops Eliminator album because, hey, I needed it. Can you scour the internet for albums? Yes. But this is a rare brick and mortar record shop that employs knowledgeable friendly humans, which is what the online experience does not provide. Which, in my opinion is a must. Friendly staff that is not snobby (score! 😃) and they let me talk their ears off, much to my daughters frustration however. I will be back for 100% sure. So stop buying vinyl for rock bottom prices from the interwebs for who knows what, and give these guys a visit, you will not be disappointed. I will be back next year on my annual trip for sure! I reached out to a dear friend and father of THREE girls and a son, when I was looking to buy a Ukulele for my granddaughter's 2nd Birthday. He recommended Yoop Tone Music located off of Third Street in what they call the Village Shopping Center (home to not only Yoop Tone Music, but also the Cookie Jar, The Man Cave, Campus Pharmacy and Jayz Tobacco Outlet). The moment I walked in I told them what I was looking for and immediately a super nice guy named Jake brought me right to the Ukulele's for 'little ones'! He was incredibly informative, super patient explaining the different brands to me, how well they hold up (because he bought one for his own daughter), etc. and then when I chose the color I wanted, he pulled it off the rack for me, got this adorable little matching bag for it and THEN they tuned it for me!! For friendly, helpful info on anything in the store or just about any musical inquiry you could imagine, Yooptone is the place you want to go! I have been playing guitar since the late 80' s and have seen many stores across this fine country, but easily the best place for great musical vibe and an amazing selection of products both used and new has got to be Yooptone in Marquette MI 🎶🎸😄 Even if you are not looking for any equipment atm, I still highly recommend Jeff and Jake for any info about just about any musical question or even if you are starting a band, in a band, as they know many ppl they could help you connect with right away- all levels of learning included! ;-) Sooo much warmer of an atmosphere than anything else around or online!
