Cherry Bomb Tattoo — Attraction in Martinsburg

Update* I want to edit my review to thank Kim, for getting back to me despite all the confusion on both ends and making this matter right. Unfortunately our first experience was not great, however Kim showed excellent customer service and was able and willing to resolve the issue. I have always heard excellent things about cherry Bomb which is one of the reasons my son chose to go here, although we did not have a great experience the first time i would definitely recommend cherry bomb to anyone because of the way this was handled. Other shops may not have cared, but Kim made sure to get in touch despite the obstacles and confusion on our end and she offered and offer a solution we could all be happy with. In my opinion this says a great deal about a buisness....

*My son decided to go here to get his first tattoo. He asked for an arm band and was told Rick was the only one who did that. The lines all around are uneven, the design inside is different sizes and he was told he would have to wait until it healed to get the shading done. My son paid 250 plus gave a 50 tip because he was told he should tip. We took him back in to show Rick but they said that Rick was only in on Wednesdays and we would have to wait until it healed to get it fixed. We asked for a shop manager and were told they would be in the next day The next day we called twice and were told the manager was busy, then the tjird call we were told they left and would be back Tuesday. We asked if someone could calĺ the manager and give them our number but as of yet we have not...

My best friend and I called this shop on Wednesday and asked to make an appointment for Friday for us to get matching tats (small/medium size tree and the design was already created), the receptionist said "you can just walk in Friday. Its first come first serve and we're open until 8."

Friday comes around and I call at 530pm to ask if there was a wait, the receptionist said no, we have two artists available and no wait. So we arrived there 15-20 minutes later.

When we got there, there were not 2 artists. There was one and the one we worked with, he made it very obvious he did NOT want do the tattoos. He was throwing around arbitrary pricing, was not friendly or engaging. Then after going back and forth said "well, I cant do you both today, because I leave at 730." So at that point, we said we would find other options.

The icing on the cake was that he gave us an Instagram handle that didnt exist.

If there's a cut off for tattoo walkins, you should probably communicate that with folks who take the time to call twice and then show up.

You should also make sure that if you tell people you're open until 8, it doesn't look good when your artists refuse work because they want to leave early. I wanted to support this shop, I really did.

My suggestion to anyone considering here is to insist on an appointment. Walk ins only seem to be welcomed...

I’ve had 4 tattoos done by Kinley now and I’ll definitely be going back to her for more. The first tattoo she did was the adorable little cactus with a flower, one of her flash pieces, on the inside of my upper right arm, just above my elbow. I fell in love with how cute it is so I scheduled with her to get a gnome tattooed on my right arm just above my elbow. She knocked it out of the park again! My gnome is everything I wanted and more! Then I went back again and had her do 2 tattoos on the same day, Anxiety from Inside Out 2 on the back of my left calf just below my knee and another flash piece of hers, the framed flower. I’m blown away by her light hand and her ability to pack so much detail into my small tattoos and she does an incredible job shading to add dimension and depth. She goes above and beyond to make sure I’m comfortable with size, placement and style and then makes sure I’m comfortable while she’s tattooing. She’s so thoughtful about her execution so I know I’m in good hands and I trust her completely. As if all that isn’t enough, Kinley has amazing vibes. She’s such a kind, sweet and funny person and I enjoy my time with her. My wife has had 3 tattoos done by her as well. Kinley did Schleprock on her right calf and a cactus on her wrist. We...
