Westport Plaza is a solid entertainment and dining hub that offers a nice mix of restaurants, bars, office space, and event venues. It’s a convenient spot for locals and visitors alike, especially with its central location and easy access to major highways.
What I Like • Variety of Restaurants & Bars: There’s a good selection of places to eat and drink—from casual dining and happy hour spots to more upscale options. It’s a nice place to go with coworkers after hours or to meet friends on the weekend. • Live Entertainment: Venues like the Funny Bone comedy club add a fun vibe to the plaza. There are also occasional live music events and seasonal activities that make the area feel lively. Social is a really good spot to hang out. • Walkable Layout: The plaza is well-designed and easy to walk around. It has an open, clean feel and a mix of indoor and outdoor areas to explore. • Hotel Access: With the nearby hotels (like Sheraton), it’s a convenient choice for out-of-town visitors or business travelers.
What Could Be Better • Needs More Variety: While there are some good spots, the plaza could really benefit from more unique shops, cafes, or pop-up-style attractions to give it more personality. • Parking Issues: Parking can get a bit tight during peak hours or when events are happening. A little more signage or direction in the lots wouldn’t hurt. • Maintenance & Upgrades: Some parts of the plaza feel a bit dated and could use a refresh—especially if they want to keep attracting younger crowds and new businesses.
Final Thoughts
Westport Plaza is a staple in the St. Louis area that continues to be a reliable go-to for food, drinks, and live events. With a few modern touches and more variety, it could easily become an even more vibrant and dynamic...
Read moreWe visited Kobe steak house for my birthday and had a reservation. There was a hostess(with dreads) who had a horrible attitude and argued with me, telling me that I was late for my reservation. Other customers, that wasn't with my party, agreed that she had a horrible disposition. On purpose she repeatedly kept seating other parties in front of us. I had to go looking for a manager and explained to her the issue. She attempted to fix the problem but we still didn't get sat till over an hour after our reservation time. And I'm pretty sure the manager did not speak with nor reprimand the hostess about her attitude. That night was the first night that I received the most horrible service of all the times that I have visited that restaurant. And it was even worse because it was my birthday. I will go again and I will make sure not to have any interaction with that specific hostess. Kobe Steakhouse can get pretty pricey and I should be treated with the utmost respect when I am willing and able to spend my...
