Cutie Patootie Kids Spa — Attraction in Matthews

Hello! I am writing you to give you my honest opinion on our experience at this spa. On Sunday, 03/01/15, we had my daughter's birthday party at this place. I purchased the $450 package and honestly I was very disappointed with the experience. First, the cupcakes were horrible. Not only did they looked like a 3 year old decorated them but the girls did not enjoy them at all. After paying such a pricey tag for the party I almost cried when I saw the cupcakes and the decorations. Then, the ad calls for a "special headband" for the birthday girl. My daughter received an old used looking $1 headband that was used when she was getting her make up done. If that is what you call a special headband, I was so disappointed. The make up on the girls were horrible. They did not take any time in putting the make up on the girls. After they were done, the girls looked like clowns instead of princesses. The ad called for a "special gift" for the girl. Again, that was not provided at all either. The carpet runway was rushed and it was basically a joke. They was no organization on how the party went. My daughter was supposed to get a Cool pop start make up which again, didn't happen. She looked just as the other girls. The nail designed was only on her hands and not on her feet as advertised. Overall, I have to say that it was a monumental waste of money and I was expecting a better service and a more upscale party considering that I paid almost $500 in this party. You are better off...

Today we celebrated our daughters 10th birthday at Cutie Patootie, to say the girls had a FABULOUS time would be an understatement!!! Let me start by saying we had visited this salon many years ago before the new owners had taken over. When my daughter originally requested a spa party theme, Cutie Patootie came to my mind. I recalled the not terrible but not up to par service we received from our visit before BUT I decided to look them up on google and check out some recent reviews... I noticed in pictures posted to their website that the salon itself looked completely different. I also read some recent reviews that were 5 Star so I decided to give them a second chance, and I am sure glad that I did! My daughter had a reletively small party, but everything was perfect. I purchased the Bella package with the mani and makeup option! They have many polish colors to choose from and the girls loved their mani’s! To my surprise they also had great quality makeup products and practiced proper sanitary procedures! The staff were very accomadating and really sweet with the girls. They were very attentive, they played along with the girls and sang karaoke, applied beautiful makeup and made my sweet girl feel so special. Thank you for that. I recommend this cute salon to anyone looking to pamper their princesses/princes, or have a fabulous birthday party! Thank you Cutie Patootie for the great party!! We will see you all...

I recently visited Cutie Patootie and was really looking forward to a great experience, but unfortunately, it fell short. The staff was inattentive and unsure of the plan and offerings for the day. The services were rushed especially for the birthday girl who was supposed to receive extra services and made to feel extra special on her birthday. The two staff members spent most of the two hours sitting down in the pedicure chairs and making snarky comments that felt disrespectful and unprofessional making me and more importantly my guests feel unimportant as a customers. It was an embarrassing to say the least. More importantly, I was concerned about safety, as the doors were not locked, and it felt like anyone could walk in at any moment, which was unsettling considering we were a group of mothers with our young daughters. There was no management available on staff and it was run by two young females, one of which was brand new training and could not even complete some of the services that we paid for that should have been included.

To make matters worse, when I raised my concerns about the service, the response I received was dismissive. It felt like my feedback didn’t matter at all. I believe that good customer service is essential for any business, and this experience left me feeling frustrated and undervalued.
