Waited almost 30 min to get our food! Ordered the big combo sushi to share and some tempura. Cost was over $60 for sub par food. Tempura batter was thick and heavy on tiny shrimp, like eating a biscuit, tempura vegetables were undercooked and still raw. miso soup was over salted or something was off. Just arrived on Maui, visiting from NY, selective about food. Was looking for dinner late in the evening and found Lono Blue on google. Ordered Dragon roll and gyoza by phone for pickup. I was a little taken aback because it was a food truck…. But wow! The roll was fabulous & fresh with the rice cooked perfectly, gyoza was authentic, they were very pleasant with wonderful service. Will be coming back to try more, and “eat in” at the outdoor...

Do yourself a favor and skip cooking on Sunday to eat at the Lono Blue Kitchen in Wailuku. I ordered a salmon poke bowl, and it was fresh and delicious. My husband ordered tempura, and pronounced the shrimp delicious and the veggies fresh and tasty. Meals for takeout or dine at an outside...
