Regency Kihei Cinemas — Attraction in Maui

Me and my partner are from pennsylvania and we came to Maui on vacation, I have to say I was appalled by the management of this establishment. We paid for our tickets and bought drinks and snacks which equaled a little over $20. My partners pretzel that was ordered was 2 sizes smaller than the pretzel that was advertised in the case, not to mention when you tried to eat it.... it was equivalent to trying to take a bite out of a tire?! When he went to the service desk and explained this situation the manager was severely unprofessional! I am a manager in a restaurant in my hometown so believe me I know what I am talking about. He asked if he could have popcorn instead and was told he couldnt do that because popcorn was $2 more than the item he ordered. In a managerial position you should always listen to the customer especially if your not getting what you paid for. People work hard for the money they earn and save like crazy to take a relaxing vacation like this. The way this situation was handled was disgraceful. Your management staff has alot to learn on how to deal with paying customers and I hope something is done on how this establishment operates. I will say that the movie we went to see was enjoyed immensely but we will not be returning ever again and if asked we will not recommend to anyone to go here for the lack of customer service, not to mention just basic customer service skills! First time at this theater, so impressed! Best movie experience ever!! Beautiful, clean atmosphere, stadium seating, very friendly greeting when I bought a ticket. She explained how their system worked and when asked, described the movies that I was trying to decide between. The seating was amazing!! Large, comfortable recliners, with a rotating tray table, with plenty of room for drinks and snacks. As the saying goes, "A good show always starts on time". The movie started at 1:30pm as the schedule stated. The theaters I've previously been to, the previews to the movie start at the posted time, then 20 minutes later the movie starts. Nicely done, very clean and comfortable movie theater with ample parking, handicap accessible and perfect location in Kihei.

Several showings a day with matinee prices and 4 theaters. Extremely comfortable seating with power operated lounge chairs and movable trays (airlines should take a cue from this roomy, supportive seating)! Also, a full service snack bar with helpful, friendly staff! They even stand at the exit when the movie is over, with a bowlful of tasty, individually wrapped candies!

The icing on the cake is twofold: -new releases -no need for extra blankets, sleeping bags, winter coats or throws, the temperature inside the theater is perfect, not freezing and not stuffy or too warm!
