I called on 4.1 to see if they sold balloon arches. I was told they did not ,but if I bought an arrangement or arch they would inflate it and they lead me to believe they'd assemble it. I was told I could drop it off Thursday or Friday morning, they could have it ready on Friday by 6pm. I was greeted by a very rude lady that huffed and puffed at my entire conversation, question or request. I was basically accused of lying and showed them my call log that I had clearly called and spoken to someone. I was very excited to use a locally owned company to use for several gatherings throughout the year. I was called rude after saying many please and thank yous. I was buying balloons in addition to the ones I brought in. I nearly lost my temper with this individual as I was beyond pleasant and am an outstanding member of our local community and she pushed me to a limit that was unnecessary. This person should NOT be employed with the public. I have Never, ever received such poor customer service in my life. And WHO I am does matter because now I will make a complaint with the BBB and possibly the AG as well as make sure that anyone considering going to Party Place understands that their staff is subpar. They did switch out the lady that was helping me and the young girl was very pleasant. The ownership and management told my assistant that they apologize and value my business, but I should have received a call. I have many needs I could have used them for as well as referred business to, but ABSOLUTELY not, at this point. Sad, because they have the market monopolized since Party City Closed. I suggest retraining the individual I dealt with, but honestly, she should have been terminated. As an employer at multiple companies in NE OH, her behavior was horrific and possibly discriminatory as I stated it was for our Eid party. I do not know what her problem was other than I was misled from the 1st phone call and treated like the villain when I was perplexed by the responses I received upon arrival. I had a noon appointment and was late because I was there 35 minutes with absolutely horrendous...
Read moreI order 24 inch balloons from Amazon, I made sure the receipt from Party Place indicated the size. When I picked them up, the size and shapes were all different. Most of them were over filled, evidenced by the pear shape - They were supposed to be more globe shaped. 3 popped on the way home. I measured the 3 that survived on the first trip. When I went back for the rest I didn’t complain because I understand that they aren’t responsible for any balloons purchased outside of the store. I simply asked for them to fill another one for which I paid (luckily I had extra). I watched as she filled it and had to tell her when to stop. This one is the only one that looks decent and correct size. I’m assuming balloons are a main source of business for them, so I’d expect them to be more careful/mindful of how they do this. Experts even. Sizing should be something they are intentionally doing. Had they not been overfilled to almost 30 inches, they may have not popped. Now I know I can’t drop them off. I have to...
Read moreUpsetting that this is usually my go to place when ordering balloons and I didn’t realize it in the moment but it was seconds to closing hours and I was walking up to the door not really paying attention, other than the fact another customer was coming out and an old white man white salt and pepper hair and glasses holding a broom hurried to the door to lock it in my face so that I couldn’t get in. A simple hi ma’am we’re closing you can try back tomorrow morning would have been professional and fine but I guess it was better to slam the door in my face and lock it (keep in mind customers were still in the store) but that was my mistake for thinking this place cared especially when a cashier is wearing a big purple bonnet on her head while cashing out. Do alittle better and care alittle more for the people that don’t mind spending their money here...
