Gifted creative Chef Braden, with real world input from out-front manager Stephanie, have created the best destination breakfast & brunch cafe in Southern Oregon. The emphasis is on complex and exceptional omlettes. Their current menu is usually posted on their website via Google Maps. Sinfully good. You can tell a wonderful breakfast has been served when all conversation stops... except for Ummmm. Their locally roasted Cerbeus coffee is the best of any Medford restaurant. Service is prompt and accomodating. Server Asia esp efficient and positive.
Previous leader Ashland has totally gone to sleep on good breakfasts... unless all you want is a plain 2-hands breakfast burrito (Ruby's). For Grants Pass.. a little hippie encampment with scribbled chalkboard ( Ma Mosa's ) is #1.
Over Easy's breakfast, lunch, & brunch dishes are all uniquely Excellent. Their constantly changing tasty creations are like the best of New York City or the Bay Area ... but right here in Medford for less money.
I first knew Over Easy was exceptional when I spoke with (2) customers who said they routinely feast on an Over East breakfast, then order a second breakfast to take 13 miles home to Ashland for breakfast the following day.
Over Easy is located on Bartlett street near the parking garage off Main st in Downtown Medford. Check website for days open, hours and the Changing Weekly Menu. Excellant Herb & Flour baked goods now available. As of 1/2023: dining inside, outside or pick-up. Open Wed, Thur, Fri, Sat, Sun.. 8:00 to 1:30pm. Check website to verify hours. Their Mimosa's and Bloody Mary's are popular.

Read moreI gave two stars because the food did taste good. Several things I did not like about this place. Not a lot of options on the menu. Very expensive. I got what was called the plain Jane, which consisted of avocado home fries, two eggs, and a piece of sourdough bread That was $18. I asked if they have English muffin and I was told no but they do have a biscuit that they make in house, I opted out. I am a water drinker and when I told them I wanted to just have water they did not offer ice. They just offered the carafe of room temperature water that was sitting on the table for God knows how long. The food tasted great, but the portion sizes were small. I think I literally counted nine (small/medium size pieces of) potato on my Plate. It came with one slice of sourdough bread which looked delicious. Again it Did taste good. It wasn’t a super small piece. The eggs were not cook cooked to my liking They were slimy. I requested hot sauce Specifically, Tabasco. I was told they didn’t have red Tabasco sauce. They did have a super hot Tabasco sauce or an in-house habanero sauce that they made. So I decided to try that, and it was extremely watery, not much flavor and there was something that did not look like Bottom of it. The waitress was kind however she never did check on us at any point to see how our food was. So for two people that I was $38 for breakfast and that was opting out of drinks. Overall, based on the reviews, I felt they were very misleading and I was very disappointed, and I...
Read moreIt's Okay. I swear I spent hours gazing on their menu, thinking of all the unique combinations and eccentricity of their overall vibe. I got the chicken fried steak to share with my husband. Let me put the emphasis on SHARE, because, 1. The prices were unbelievable. Skyrocket high. 2. It was a big piece of fried breading.
I got a good gobble on the fried breading. It was well seasoned, but I felt like the meaty part was lacking. It really felt like I was using well seasoned bread crumbed fried and used as a topper for the scrambled eggs.
Potato's on the side. Unsalted, unseasoned, un-anythinged. They were just potatoes, without even the option to add flavor. OK.
Also. Why the heavens is a singular squared potato $4. I could go to trader joe and buy their hashbrown packs for $2.99, but here, I am spent $4 on a individual, squared, unseasoned potato on a plate. If I had realise it was just ONE potato, I would have not purchased that. It was awkward. It's like they smashed all their potato anger into the squared cube and called it a Picasso.
Anyway. I feel like the flavors were lacking. Great presentation, but even the gravy was allllright. To add to this, we were even sitting outside in 52 degree weather because I was affirmative this place was as good as they made it seem.
I'm giving 3 stars because the coffee and lattes were good. Fun. Perhaps the atmosphere inside the restaurant would have been fun too. I knocked off 2 stars because the prices are outrageously high and the...
