So I went here for lunch as we was passing thru traveling on 15 April and normally I try not to critique other culture food since things may be differant . let just say we was not impressed at all with the food , the side portions was a joke they literally brought dishes that was enough for a bite for one person between the 3 of us , when asked for more side dishes to be brought out the server gave us the look " like really that's not enough ...." I ordered the spicy pork bibimbop it was extremely bland , no flavor at all had to dump two servings of the Doen-jang just to manage to eat it , the other dish that was ordered was the chicken teriyaki which was the same chicken was mushy almost no flavor at all and got my son the chicken katsu bento box , mind you he is not a picky eater at all and would barely even touch it . sadly not even the breading was any good , egg roll was still cold in the middle water was room temp I normally try not to waste food but it wasnt evem worth finishing it . also before you say " it's the culture the food is different " mind you I was stationed in Korea for 3 years and have had been all over the US and world , Korean is always my go to comfort food but I can honestly this place I would not recommended or go to this place ...... my whole party got sick a few hours after eating it . my son ended up throwing up and had a major case of diarrhea when he was perfectly fine till we had eaten there, I can say this truthfully since this was the only thing we did eat that day , my sister in law got extremely sick and was on the pot all afternoon . so if you're looking for a Korean spot in Medford , I personally would go some where else ...... The presentation was great service was okayish but as for the food not...

Wow! Great food, great atmosphere, and an overall great time! When you open the doors you aren't so much as greeteed with a friendly host as you are greeted by the smell of wonderful Korean food. The smell will tickle your nostrils and is filled with garlic, pork, beef, kimchi, and a varied array of other inviting smells. As the server walks by you will find yourself looking over trying to figure out what the other guests ordered and then second guessing yours, as each dish looks and smells better than the last. Fear not, because the dish that you get will not disappoint!

I asked the server what I should get and he recommended the BBQ pork which was great! It came served on a hot plate and had a good mix of vegetables What stood out the most was the tenderness of the pork. My date ordered Udon and tempura, which I got a chance to try. When you taste the Udon you will immediately tell just how much love and care went into every aspect of it, based on just the taste of the broth alone. Even more so the noodles were of exceptional quality. Make no mistake this is quality Korean food! The server also brought out a small array of cold pickled vegetables and kimchi. All of which had outstanding flavor, texture, and spice!

I give Soo Rah a 8.8 out of 10. The food could have been spicer, so if you go you might want to ask for it extra spicy if that's your cup of tea. In three words or less: Quality...

Strange experience. Walked in on a Friday night with my husband. No one was in waiting area. Waiter came and sat is at a table with menus. There were not many other tables, but he was busy. We waited about 20 mins when he finally came to our table. The atmosphere and smell was nice, so we were both excited. He told us, he had other couples with reservations who had been waiting for 15 mins and said sorry. I said thats fine, but can we order drinks as we wait. He said no, and that we needed to get up from the table. Mind you, he sat us, and had not been back to the front waiting area in the 20 or so minutes he seated us. We awkwardly got up and went to the front to wait, where we saw two couples. A few minutes later he comes to seat them. One couple says, no, they were here before us (referring to the other couple). I am so confused at this point since it seems he never went to the front and we had been seated before either couple arrived. At this point we are 30+ mins into this. I don’t know if we were discriminated against or what was going on, but I guess I will never know if their food is...

I had the Spicy Rice Cake as an appetizer, and it was delicious. The sauce was a perfect level of spicy and tasted amazing. The rice cakes were so chewy and yummy. It included 2 fried dumplings, 1 egg roll in halves and one egg in halves. My favorite were the dumplings covered in the sauce. I had a plum ice tea, and it was so refreshing! I have never had it before, and I loved it. I recommend to have it with anything because it is neutral in flavor and slightly sweet. I also ordered the Pork Bulgogi and Beef Bulgogi Korean BBQ dishes, which were really tasty. The meat was tender and flavorful. The pork had a delicious marinade on it with slight spice. The beef was thinly cut and had great flavor. The staff was friendly, prompt and attentive. The place is calm and cozy. I felt great peace and taken care of as I ate my meal. Will be coming back!

This place is amazing! Coming from a small town sometimes I miss all the food the city can provide. This was amazing! The environment was cozy and I loved that they put their own personality/culture on the walls. It really felt like I stepped into my Korean Grandma’s house. The gentlemen in the front was so kind and polite. The food came out quickly and it was delicious. It was authentic and you could taste the love that was put into it. I apologize for not leaving a tip since it was take away. I ordered the beef bibimbop and it reminded me of home. The spices, the flavors and the presentation reminded me of home. It was delicious, affordable and the portions were plenty. The steamed pork dumplings were yum. I’d definitely eat here again if I was in town. Much love to this small business.
