Marcello's New York Pizza — Attraction in Medina Township

Great little place, great pizza, and great service. The owner and his wife(?) Were great to talk to while we waited for our pizza (25 minutes from order to receiving). We ordered a large pepperoni, large cheese, cheesesticks, and breadsticks. When we got there I added 10 garlic knots cause they looked great. We chit chatted with the owner while we waited for the food and they warmed up the knots. We joked and had a good couple minutes then went back home to eat. The pizza was awesome. Definitely one of the best we've had in Medina. The sause and crust of the pizza was tops and according to my father in law who grew up in New York it was fairly authentic, def the closest hes had since moving to Ohio. Not super greasy and thin. The garlic knots and breadsticks were good, but the cheesesticks were just okay. They gave us a ton of marinara sause which was very nice. I'm looking forward to stopping by again, hoping...

Look I’m no Dave Portnoy, and I don’t know how to use his pizza scale. But this place just broke into my TOP TWO best pizza joints in Medina! We had the 18” Large NY Style Pep with HUGE Garlic Knots. My goodness this sauce was amazing, did I mention the Garlic Knots?! WE. WILL. BE. BACK. I also didn’t get the lady at the front desks name, but she was very sweet and kind. 12/10

EDIT WITH SECOND VISIT: Stop what you are doing, and order a pizza from Marcello’s right now. This SAUCE IS THE BEST IN TOWN. Right off the highway this joint is awesome and easy to get to. Couldn’t recommend higher. If you want average pizza, go somewhere else. If you want great pizza, get Marcello’s. Crisp, flavors, colors and smells. It’s everything you could want. I am extremely disappointed in this restaurant. I was very excited to try the new pizza that was advertised as NY pizza. My husband drove 60 min round trip to try this place and it was an absolute disappointment. He picked up the order and received a completely different pizza than we ordered, with toppings we dislike /are unable to consume. After arriving home he called to ask for a refund since we are unable to eat this pizza and he was told that he would have to go back to the restaurant for a refund or basically suck it up.
