My experience has been with an online order from 6-28-2020, we spent $1997.44 on an "in stock" couch. Nowhere before, during, or after placing this order were we made aware there would be a delay in delivery. It took 2 days to get any response about the delivery, and it was an email stating it would not be delivered until 7-21-2020. I sent a reply asking why it would be 3 weeks on something listed as "in stock" and have yet to receive any reply (today is 7-23-2020). I decided to let it go, wait for our delivery and be done with doing business with Royal. On 7-20-2020 I get a text message with a link to 'track my delivery', thankfully I took a screenshot of this, the link indicated, the delivery would be here on 7-21-2020 between 3:36 and 6:36 (oddly specific times) I took off woken missing a half days pay to be home and wait for the delivery. My front door was open and I have a front door camera showing no one ever showed up. (We received no communication at all about what happened or why) at 630 on 7-21-2020, worried, i went back to the delivery tracker and it was now showing my order # could not be found. Frantic, I called, of course the store was closed, I left a voicemail (on 7-21-2020) the recording stated to expect a call back with 24 hours, today is 7-23-2020, and no one has returned my phone call. On 7-22-2020, still having no response to my call or emails, I called and left 2 more messages and sent 2 more emails. Not knowing what else to do I showed everything to my husband, who pointed out on the delivery screenshot not only was our last name spelled incorrectly, our street name had been changed\spelled incorrectly. I quickly pulled up my order receipt to ensure this was not my error. Everytihng I input on the order, was our correct information. Upset that we have spent $2000 nearly a month ago, and having no luck during this time recieving any communication from any at Royal, I filed a compliant. Within 20 minutes of filing this complaint, I finally receive an email from Denise stating she fixed the mispellings and claimed th console piece was missing and that is why it wasn't delivered on 7-21-2020 and stated she was trying to get this relsoved by the afternoon of 7-23-2020. I asked for a time frame, as I have already taken off work and missed pay this week and cannot afford to miss more time over this and my husband works in a job that he cannot be home for this. I also asked giving these circumstances to be refunded my delivery fee, I think that is more than reasonable ask. I was taken aback by the reply from Ms. Denise "best regards". Read moreDo not be fooled by the posted hours on any search engine for this location and especially not the posted sign on the front door of the establishment as they do not reflect the true hours of the store. The listed weekday hours are from 11:00am to 7:00pm. Why were the doors locked upon my arrival at 6:40pm?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Is the staff above the company??? I got off of work this evening and rushed to make it to this exact store, the 7200 WINCHESTER ROAD location in Memphis, TN and arrived around 6:38/6:40pm. Why are the doors locked before the advertised closing time?!?!?!?!?!?! UNACCEPTABLE!! I pleaded with the security guard that came to the door, that I was needing to make my payment prior to tomorrow, March 1st to avoid a late fee. However, no luck and all she would repeat was "We're closed and the systems are shutdown". The utter disbelief due to the fact that they WOULD NOT ALLOW A CUSTOMER IN TO PAY A BILL DURING THE ADVERTISED BUSINESS HOURS. PAYING MY BILL WOULD HAVE TAKEN ALL OF LITERALLY 5 MINUTES BUT NO THE STAFF WANTED TO LEAVE EARLY!! The company's mission is to provide customers with "exceptional value". Value and customer service are mutually inclusive to one another. It's no either or!! I'm glad that this will be my LAST payment and LAST purchase from the Royal company as a whole! Read moreWe ordered our furniture 2/6/21....Paid for the delivery so we had to wait a week for it. The week it was supposed to come it ended up snowing so we got pushed back another week. Finally we received the order on Monday 2/15/21. One of the dressers was broken so we had to wait for an exchange which came that following Tuesday 2/23/21. It was broken as well. I was told someone would contact me for another delivery exchange. NEVER HAPPENED. After speaking with the warehouse and getting absolutely nowhere with them but attitudes, I was transferred to Corporate. After speaking with someone by the name of Michelle (I Think), I was assured my deliver would come by Saturday 3/6/21. A whole month after I originally purchased the furniture. I called that morning to see what my delivery time would be and the warehouse told me that I wasn't even scheduled for an exchange and the could deliver it this Friday which will be 3/12/21. At this point I'm livid. So Monday 3/8/21 I called Corporate AGAIN and was informed that someone would be calling me to address this matter. Guess what??? IT NEVER HAPPENED.
