Took our car in for an oil change and they over tightened the plug cracking the oil pan casing. I was just a little upset as traditionally we would take it into the dealership for maintenance, but was on a tight schedule.
The mechanic came up from the pit and explained what happened, which was very professional, he was young and made a mistake, it happens. My mind was on the damage and the repairs needed. I waited for the manager to arrive from another location who, did not great me, apologize or explain to me the process and went down to the pit area to look at the damage.
They came up from the pit after 40 minutes and showed me the second picture of what looked like something called "Jimmy Weld" and told me it was fixed and I can leave !
After my head bounced off the floor and ceiling I asked to speak to the next level manager, which she replied there is no one beyond me and that I must move my car or they were going to "drag it out". At that point I locked the car and called MFPD to file a report.
After a conversation with the regional manager we agreed to have it towed and they would then pay for the repairs. I waited 6 hours it total from the time of arrival to having it towed to the Dealership.
They refused to pay for a rental while my car was being repaired, no reimbursement for my time. Only able to recoup the additional insurance coverage taking our second car out of...
Read moreI went for an emissions test today and spent a half hour without moving one car closer to getting in the garage. At first I pulled behind a car to get in line on the second garage. But a technician came out and said that they were doing emissions tests on the first garage. So fine I moved the car. I waited about twenty minutes; without moving a spot when another technician came out and had me back out so the car ahead of me can get to a different spot.
I backed out and then pulled back up and the same technician through the garage door window pointed to the right signaling that I need to move to the original garage I was previously tried to pull into. Then the guy ahead of me said the original first garage on the left was for emissions. This goes without saying that BOTH the first and second garages have BIG EMISSIONS HERE signs on them.
It was pushing a half-hour and decided to leave. The techs were too concerned with playing musical chairs with the cars then moving cars out of garage. An emissions test shouldn’t take 30 minutes. They all seem like...
Read moreI haven't had the best experiences at this location.
The first time taking a vehicle there they didn't secure the splash shield completely. This caused the front of the splash shield to drop while driving and grind down causing significant damage.
The second time, I informed them of the previous error, only to be told they "didn't have record of the car being there before". They said this as they peeled off the previous oil change sticker from that same very location.
Today I sat for a total of an hour. Almost 30 to 40 min in the bay for a basic oil change and emissions test. Before being told to roll out of the bay, I noticed no sound of the fasteners for the splash shield. I said outloud "splash shield" for them to hear. Only then was it yelled by them to reinstall it. I heard a total of 4 or 5 fasteners being installed. The splash shield takes 9. So now I'll have to order the fasteners and secure it myself, Again. I would not recommend...
