It was posted they had new owners and management and we decided to go and see what had changed. It wasn't my first time going there, I guess you can say I'm customers. I drive from Cleveland Heights to Mentor to eat there (there's another in Parma but the quality is not the same). Some items had better taste and seemed fresher than before, but it was around 8pm and they were still full and certain items weren't being refilled. I had to wait almost 15 min for the egg drop soup to be replaced. Desserts were the same way (thankfully I don't eat dessert), couldn't eat the noodles (rice or low mein) because they were empty.
They also seemed a bit understaffed (which was a first for me). My suggestion is that: when you're under new ownership and management, people will expect more. Under promise and over deliver, make sure you have enough people and food is filled and fresh until closing time, moreso now that you...
Read moreMeijer's grocery store is an almost must stop when I go to mentor. I love going on Wednesday when they have their $4.99 sushi. It is made fresh on the spot right in front of you. The baked goods are excellent as well as their fresh fruit salads. Sometimes I will drive to Manor just to pick up a few things at meijer's. I also love the fact that they have connect point in the parking lot and do not charge for the first hour of charging for your EV. Everyone is super friendly from your door greeter through to the people who help you out at the check out. I am notoriously bad at opening grocery store bags when they are folded flat and the lady at the cash registers was kind enough to help me. I love going here and I will...

We stopped for the Meijer store to get Easter Candy. A bit disappointed with the selection and the prices. We were happy with what we selected, and Easter morning and the Easter egg hunt were a hit with the kids.
I found what I needed and I didn't have to visit a second store. Will note 1, the first employee sent me to the candy aisle vs the actual display where the Easter candy was. Note 2, not all the Easter candy was on that display either. Chasing around to multiple places and asking multiple people was time consuming. The store was clean and...
