I am writing this review for Brandon at the Mentor Spectrum Store. My Husband Michael and Roseann DeBlasio visited the Store in search for new phones and service. We were greeted by this young man who nicely greeted us and asked us what he could help us with. We said, New Phones. Brandon showed us the various cell phones and asked us what are interest in the phones that we are comfortable with. He explained everything to us and when we didn't quite understand he explained more in detail. You see, we are not internet or phone savvy. After choosing our phones,Brandon, began transferring our info from our old phone to the new phones that we purchased . Then he took the time needed for us to get all our questions asked and we felt very confident in choosing Spectrum phones. This is very important what I am explaining here in this review. I was very reluctant in changing phone services because We were with this Carrier for 15yrs. But when we visited this store, we were greeted by 4 young men at the door and a new female employee. They asked us how they could help us, and we said we r here to purchase new phones. But before we do, we would like to know if you would transfer our info from our old phone to the new one? They ALL answered NO! The Company doesn't do this service anymore. I said, my Friend just purchased a 1,000.00 phone from here and this female employee transferred all her info from her old phone to the new. Is she working today, I asked? They said NO! So, we walked out, were were not making an appointment with this female employee to help us and we left. These young men Employee's could care less if this Company lost a Customer and yes, we were Customers for 15yrs. We then went to Spectrum for our new phones. Before any of this occurred, My husband went to Spectrum to get information on the new phones and he was satisfied with the assistance another young man helped him with. So Brandon became our salesperson to help us with everything. He then suggested that we visit again and bring my tablet and other info that I had written in my book of passwords. We visited a few days later. All was well! We were so Satisfied! Brandon also explained to us that if there is a problem to visit the store again and he would help us in anyway he can. By the way, In walking in to the store that day, and seeing this young man, something very familiar told me that I knew Brandon somehow. Yes, when he saw me too he said, yes! Then we figured it out that Brandon was my Girlfriends Grandson. Small world! I Love my Spectrum New Phone! I know that my husband and I made the correct decision in purchasing them. Thankyou! And Thankyou to Brandon who made this transition from our old carrier and phones to Spectrum's! We purchased our Spectrum phones on August 26th. A satisfied new customer! Mike and Roseann...
Ā Ā Ā Read morevery disappointed in handling the purchase of a new iphone for my son. My adult son went to store to purchase phone but was not the account holder. He reports not having a great encounter with one of the employees. So i ventured up to store to make the purchase.since my name was on the account. Everything was great until it came time to purchase the phone. The specialist showed him two phones that were in stock and he picked one. I presented my ID and same credit card that is used for montly billing to make the purchase, but the system ran into a glitch and the specialist did not know what to do. I asked if she could call Spectrum to for additional assistance but she did not. She asked another employee and the reason was "fraud" . The phone will have to be shipped out to my address by Fed Ex.. I was not happy with this because someone always has to be home to sign for the package. I asked the specialist again to retry as i had proof of who i was and a form of payment. But she stated there is nothing she could do; she had me sign the signature pad and stated i would be getting emails about the delivery. I walked out of the store very frustrated as i could have done all of this online... why have a store to make a purchase when you cannot make a purchase. When i got home, i checked my email to find a message from spectrum. I had to prove again i was who i was before they could ship the phone. I called and spent 30 min on the phone explaining my bad experience at the store and they told me i should have told them to call customer service to work out the issue. Of course i did that and they apologized. Needless to say, i had to prove AGAIN who i was before the phone could be shipped . Fast forward two days later, the phone wento out for delivery and i was not home so the phone went to their main fed ex site 30 min away. My son had to drive and pick it up after his work day. Again, very disappointed in not being able to handle an instore purchase of a phone ... especially when the customer ahead of us was able to . I would hope the team in the store would be able to get additional training to avoid this ridiculous situation again creating frustration on the customer end. And.. you cannot directly contact the store via phone. You have to walk in to speak to one of them. No direct connection between the customer service agents online and the actual store.
