On Monday March 7, I walked in to Laconia Harley Davidson and purchased a used 2010 Denim Black Road Glide. Well since I live in a different state, had to get tags and insurance, The General sales manager Ed Almstsdt informed me my Motorcycle will be washed cleaned filled gas and delivered to me when I show up on Sunday March 13 2016, well I'm here to tell you none of that happened, when I walked into the showroom the motorcycle had recently purchase was still in the same place it was from Monday when when I first purchased it never went through this service department, the most EMBARRASSING thing I've ever seen was when a Salesman had jumpstart a motorcycle with a jumper pack in a Packed showroom full of customers, if the bike had went to the service department of few days earlier we would not have this problem, the service department put a brand new battery inside of the bike, as I walked around the bike when it came out of the service department I notice that the heel shifter was missing, at this point I became very Upset, I went back inside to dealer and informed the general sales manager what was going on, after this he sent the salesman to take the motorcycle he then filled it up with fuel and somebody replace the heel shifter lever, when the salesman returned with the motorcycle I noticed the bike was very dirty because they never cleaned it or washed it there were fingerprints all over the Denim finish, someone in the service department wiped the bike down with some type of chemical that left stains all over the exhaust in various parts of the bike, after this the service department left the bike outside and proceeded to tell me are you waiting for the denim Black Road Glide it sitting over there, no one from the sales department at that dealership delivered the bike to me, they didn't go over the bike to tell me how to start it how to open certain components and what the bike was equipped with, I live in a small town in Massachusetts I drove an hour and half or a 110 miles, to get to Laconia Harley-Davidson, this was the worst experience of my life at a dealership I gave them $15,000 of my hard earned money and basically they gave me their Asses to kiss, yesterday all they could do was give me a thousand apologies and gave me I hat to try to ease my pain, the damage is already done and there's nothing anybody from the dealership can do to make it up to me, there are 6 different Harley-Davidson dealerships between my address and Laconia Harley-Davidson, I chose Laconia because they had what I wanted, My overall experience with this dealership I'm very SOUR and I'm UPSET I feel RIPPED OFF and I feel USED, I feel that the service department in the sales department completely dropped the ball on the sale of this motorcycle, if this is the level of service I'm going to receive from Harley-Davidson of Laconia I will never ever in my life recommend anybody go back there, if you're reading this review and you're thinking to yourself he sounds like a very disgruntled customer well you're right I am, I drove back to Massachusetts very upset, but the damage has been done in the motorcycle has been paid for, to the people at Laconia Harley-Davidson I'm sure you are very good people, but you made my motorcycle buying experience a Nightmare, any opportunity that you had to make it Right, no one there to took the time to deal with a paying customer properly, I'm sorry Laconia Harley-Davidson but you will never hear or see from me ever again thank...
Read moreIf I could give less than 1 star, I would happily do it. Do your homework before shopping here, if they feel that they can take advantages of an under educated buyer they will. Purchased a 23 road glide st from them a few weeks ago without doing my homework (shame on me) only to find out later that I could have quite easily paid 10k less by going to a different area dealer. I will NEVER return and will warn as many people as possible about thier shady business practices. While I should have done better research, they had no problem totally misinforming me of MSRP, and then further inflating the pricing to cover my trade and the other items that they “threw in”. They have no issues lying about pricing, inflating sale price to cover trade, etc. this is by far the most unethical harley dealership I have ever encountered and that says a lot. Buyer beware. They also own a few others around the country. I would stay away from any and all things that "American Road Group" is associated with. The unethical behavior runs deep and as far as I can tell, all the way up to the corporate level. Even when I complained about the awful deal to thier corporate manager, I was met with endless emails trying to convince me that I got a good deal. I didn’t. I overpaid by a lot. I wish I never stepped foot inside that dealership and NEVER will again. But on the bright side, I made the mistake so you don’t have to. Stay away from this place they are terrible!
Update - I see the owner has responded with more smoke and mirrors. I encourage them to reach out to me directly and make it right. To be honest, I am not sure how the reviews for this dealership are so high, it was not my experience at all. The pricing is neither straight forward nor is it transparent. The "other factors" that he is referencing is how much they think they can inflate the price and interest rates and get away with it. You allow your managment team to run a shady business and I will happily continue to share my poor experience at Laconia H-D with anyone that cares...
Read moreRyan, Bryson, Richard and everyone at Laconia Harley - Davidson were top notch. A1! I started with Ryan over the phone with a loooong story about a bad experience elsewhere and wanted to trade. He listened, took some of my info and called me back with solution, within 10 minutes, that was pretty favorable. I agreed, secured a hold on the Harley I wanted and made my way up a few days later. A few days later, I walked into the dealership and was greeted by the sales staff and Bryson introduced himself. He walks me over to my bike and gives me a detailed (expert) explanation on her functions, etc. We then toured the service department, parts and merchandise floor. All nice and welcoming folks! From there, Bryson introduced me to Jeremy in the business office... Now this is the point in EVERY other vehicle purchase experience I’ve had where the whole vibe is killed... Not this time! Jeremy was awesome! He answered every question I had and explained the warranty and benefits to certain programs the offered without any pressure! After I left Jeremy’s office I was met again by Bryson with my new keys (he also switched some accessories from my trade to my new Harley) rang the bell and was congratulated by everyone in the dealership. Fantastic trade/ purchase experience front to back... and back again as I’ve made a few trips back up there for parts and it’s just as welcoming from EVERYONE there!

After 20+ years of riding sport, super naked and super sport, I discovered a new culture (for myself) in motorcycling and I’m enjoying every moment of it. I bought my first Harley-Davidson elsewhere a month before I called Laconia Harley-Davison and I didn’t quite understand on that day. Now I do; As I believe the riders at Laconia Harley-Davidson are...
