Horrible experience with Dr. Becca Olson. The front desk lady and the assistant nurse were nice and did their job but the doctor was incompetent and did nothing to help nor listened. I came in for possibly having an allergic reaction to a pcos medication i was prescribed. My face went numb and i almost passed out at work. Throwing up, entire body ache, vision problem to light, dizzy spell, headache, etc. The front desk lady asked questions about it and relating to the allergic reaction. The nurse who took me back did as well and i explained the symptoms and even provided the medication bottle to her and talked about my pcos diagnosis and how that is the medication for it. And SHE WROTE IT DOWN for the doctor. Then i was waiting in the room for the doctor for a good 20 min and she comes in not even aware of why im there or having read anything the nurse wrote for her. And thought i was just in for a āmigraine.ā Her exact words. āItās just a migraine. I have one too. Itās because of the weather.ā And i tried to explain no Iām not here for a migraine, my whole face and throat is numb. I think Iām having an allergic reaction. And she interrupts with āitās just a migraine. My friends get migraines too. Have you had a migraine. Itās this weather.ā Like maāam are you listening to me?? I couldnāt even get my sentence out because she just kept interrupting with her story about her own migraine. When i finally managed to get her to listen for a minute and explained about my medication, sheās like āoh, you have pcos?ā LIKE YES. I literally said that and that that was the reason i was here and the nurse took the medication down for you! And she said āitās probably just symptoms of a migraine.ā Like no, i donāt have a migraine. Stop fixating on a migraine. Please listen. I came in because of the medication! And she just said ācall your doctor then.ā And Iām like thereās nothing you can do to help me? And she āno just call your doctor.ā And Iām like , yo canāt even help me figure out if it is an allergic reaction or the flu or something? āNo we donāt have testing. Just call your doctor.ā And she just stared at me till i left. I went outside for a moment and then came back in and tried asking four a refund since this visit was a waste of money/time and i had to pay now to see my doctor or the er since they were no help. The doctor happened to be there sitting on the desk with her feet up on it, mocking someone and making weird noises and telling and laughing and just being unprofessional. I donāt want to complain in front of her, but i did and talked to the desk lady. The doctor butted in and kept rudely trying to talk over me and interrupt me saying āi told you itās a migraine!ā āI did help you!ā Etc. and wouldnāt let me talk, even though i was being polite to the desk lady only asking if there was a number for billing or someone i could talk to about the situation. But the doctor didnāt want me to- so i was just ignoring her and trying to have my conversation. The desk lady said there was no number but provided me a form to fill out and said i could in my car or there. The dr was glaring at me and making a mad snarly face at me, still sitting on top of the desk, and i knew she was waiting for me to leave to talk crap about me. And so i said thank you and that i would fill it out there, and the doctor got upset and stormed off still very unprofessionally throwing her tantrum. I filled out the paper and kindly gave it to the desk lady and thanked...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAVOID AT ALL COSTS! I am between pcps (Dr left practice) and since my new PCP was booked out a month I was forced to go to an urgent care for an injury. I saw the PA. The back office staff was very nice. The PA ordered imaging, PT, an appointment with a specialist, medication, and medical gear. I was originally very pleased with the service until I tried to book the imaging appointment. The order they gave me has the wrong procedure code. I immediately called the urgent care to have the error fixed and it didn't seem like there was an issue. They said I could pick up the corrected order or they could fax it. The next day I got the fax number and asked the urgent care to fax it. The front office staff was very rude and said I should just pick it up. Since I wasn't close I asked if it could just be faxed. The girl talked with someone else and then begrudgingly agreed to fax it but said that they won't do anything else after this, which I thought was odd because it was their mistake they were fixing, not a special request. It turned out that the imaging I needed done was booked out too far at my first choice imaging center so I went to the location to pick up a copy of the order so I wouldn't have to bother them to fax it to a different place. The paper they gave me was only a procedure list without any imaging codes. When I asked what the procedure code was the girl said there are no procedure codes or order codes that the imaging place decides what code to use. I asked about an order number, she said there were no numbers just the hand written note by the PA. I took what they gave me and tried to make an appointment at 3 different imaging places (including Banner) and all three places said they need an order not what I was given. So I tried to call the urgent care back and they were very rude and stuck with that there are no numbers and I just have to tell the imaging place about my pain and they choose which scan to schedule (according to the 4 major imaging places that is not true). I tried to file a complaint and spoke with Jeremy the section lead and he yelled at me over the phone saying they already faxed what was in my chart and they won't create a new order for me (again I just wanted the corrected imaging order so I could complete the tasks the PA had given me)- I wasn't asking for anything new). Then the kicker, I contacted my insurance to file a complaint and turns out everything the PA ordered was not covered by my insurance because Urgent care can't make referrals with my plan. So everything other than the medicine and things provided at the visit it was a complete waste of time. I am forced to wait until the 18th and let a new PCP do all the actual medical work. If you actually want treatment and competent medical services, avoid Banner and under no circumstances visit this location (unless you like...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery frustrating. I always recommended this place because I had good experiences in the past, now I would definitely not. I took my dad here for a visit and paid $150 which is what they said he would have to pay, no more than that amount, then he got a bill for over $300 later. He has tried to call the billing office and has gotten nowhere. I figured that was an isolated incident and that they would get it figured out so I still went back for my own visit. All I needed was a rapid strep test which was negative, so no prescriptions needed. I am insured and also a RN at a Banner Facility, so I have Banner choice plus which is the best insurance (the Cadillac of insurance). So being a Banner employee, insured by Banner insurance and going to a Banner Urgent Care you would think that there should be no issues as far as billing right? I paid my $50 co-pay as required, all is well right? WRONG!! Now I am getting a bill for $340. I find it comical that they really think that I will pay this amount of money for an urgent care visit-rapid strep test, when I am paying $552 every month- $276 per paycheck so I do not have to pay high prices for a short and uncomplicated visit like this. If I wanted to pay this much I would have gone to an actual ED, or better yet not have insurance! Also being a Banner employee this should be an uncomplicated transaction as I have Banner insurance and this is a Banner Facility, which they took all of that information. This is highly frustrating to me as I am a very busy mother of 2, work full-time and pay my dues, not to mention 8 months pregnant and don't have time to deal with issues such as this- that really should be no problem at all. This is their job. They have a whole department to deal with this specifically. Why is this hard? Also FYI it will cost me less to delivery a baby in January at $140, than what these guys are trying to charge me. I would not recommend this place in the future. I was understanding about my dad's situation because it was more complex and he was uninsured, but in my case- it was very straightforward and should not be such a headache. They need to get it together and get some organization on...
