Boba CuCue Bubble Tea House- East Mesa — Attraction in Mesa

This place is so frickin cute... Like if hello Kitty had a fever dream in a place called sugar cloud land. (Which sounds weird but seriously, when you walk in you'll know EXACTLY what I mean).

They have a really extensive drink menu, and they serve a little bit of food (some dumplings, gyoza, and the sweet waffle ball stick things- which I did order and, although they are a bit overpriced, they are super tasty).

My first time there I had a really sweet girl who talked and joked around with me a bit. I really liked her. My drinks were beautiful and delicious.

My second time there, the one guy I've seen working there helped me and while he's very quiet, he's also very nice :)

My third time there, the girl clearly saw the cash in my hand but still gestured at the screen for me to select a tip amount (no worries girl... I know you're just used to people paying with a card). She also let me know about their punchcard rewards (wish I'd been told that 5 drinks earlier!) My drinks were a bit bland.

My fourth time there, I had been raving about the place to my teenaged daughter. We used to go to bosa donuts to get boba all the time but lately they'd gone downhill... So I thought I'd found us a new boba spot. My daughter got a cookies n cream flavored drink that I'd never had, and she ordered it extra sweet. When we got to the car she started drinking it and I asked if it was good... She shrugged. I was immediately disappointed that she didn't love it (since I did)... But she said she liked the place, her drink just tasted like milk. She handed me her cup and sure enough... Literally tasted like 16 oz of milk with maybe a tsp of sugar and NOTHING ELSE! My drinks (I'd had trouble deciding and ordered 2, which I had done every time I came here) were also ordered extra sweet but ended up being very bland. (A brown sugar tornado or something like that, and a Thai tea drink).

I've been there like 3 more times since and it's been the same disappointment every time... Terribly bland. Or sometimes it'll be really sweet but have NO flavor. Like the drinks are just weak (I've seen the same company from others too unfortunately).

I keep going, hoping to get to experience the same level of quality I experienced my first couple visits. If they continue on this way though, I'll sadly be looking for another new boba spot. (Which is a shame because their staff is very friendly and here aesthetic is adorable... Oh and some of the drinks come with extras like mochi, cookies, mini ice cream cones, etc).

I once saw a mom in there totally wrapped up in helping one of her children pick a drink, and let the other 2 or 3 run wild. They knocked products off the shelves, threw some of it, picked their nose and then ran their boogery hand along the counter as they ran by. The mom never did or said anything. I'm not one to judge, but it was entirely obnoxious and disgusting. Anyway, I quietly mentioned the booger-handed, run-by-snotting to one of the girls who was watching the children's anarchy, and she mouthed "thank you" and immediately cleaned the entire counter surface- not just the top but the side where they had all been touching as well. One thing I will give them is that they appear to be a SUPER CLEAN place.

Took my lil step daughter there once (she had seen my super cute cup that had ears from there and wanted one). Her mom and dad had both been very specific... No sweet treats of any kind (her and her brother had woken up before daylight to steal the ice cream I had left in their mom's freezer the night before when I was babysitting) [we co-parent very well, I'm proud to say]. I asked them if I could get her one of the cups with ears without them putting anything sweet in it. Like, ice water. I said I'd pay whatever they'd need for it (like, I didn't mind paying for a drink and just receiving ice water in it) and they still refused. The girl was very apologetic, but said they weren't allowed to do that.

Kinda crushed a 7 yr old little girl's hopes in that moment.

I’ll start by saying I come here all the time with my family, at least twice a week. We are even rewards members and spend so much we often get free boba drinks. We love this place. We recommend it to everyone, and we often bring additional friends and family to your business as well. But we might not come back due to the incident I went through today. I called at 7:55 while driving to ask if I can order ahead since they close at 8. I was only 3 min away . The young blonde lady on the phone stated they cannot take phone orders, but as long as I get there before 8:00pm I can be served . If she informed me that they were cleaning and shutting down I would not have came but she stated if I make it by 8pm they would be open.. As I walked up to the door at 7:58 the young blonde lady hurried and locked the door. I then knocked and she ignored me. She knew I was at the door knocking.. I literally just got off the phone with her.. she should have been expecting me, it was before 8pm and she still ignored me. She would go to the back to avoid me standing at the door knocking, the would come check and see if I left . I called while standing outside, no answer. Another employee then emerged as I was knocking.. and also just straight up ignored me. I hate to even type this, I’m not the type to complain. I tried to put myself in their shoes. I imagined they chose to close early due to them having to clean and turn machines off.. but wouldn’t you communicate that with the customer instead of being rude and ignoring them? At one point, I was knocking while they were both at the register ignoring me on purpose.. but laughing with eachother about the situation. I did not find it funny. It should all be all camera for manger. We love this place, but we are very upset and might not bring our...

Been here twice now and I like it but can't put it as my fav boba place. I'll keep ordering different drinks and see if I can find one I really like since it's the only one near my house. I usually get a Thai milk tea boba and theirs has milk in it according to the menu and I'm used to sweetened condensed milk. It really alters the flavor so that's a bit of a bummer. I have tried 4 other drinks and each one is a bit of an experience which is pretty fun but I can't say I totally liked the flavor of any of them. However, the boba pearls themselves were cooked well. Not too squishy and not hard. I apprecite that. There are nice people that work there and they have a cute vibe in the place so I'll keep trying different ones and just might find a favorite! I do like that they have some more exotic flavors and have a very pretty presentation. That's probably the reason I'm willing to keep trying them. Oh, one last thing, they only have one size drink which is another let down for me. I like to have smaller drinks to not consume so many calories and for my smaller kids. The cups are very cute! I actually dropped one on my seat getting into my car and they are so sturdy that not even a drop got on my interior. Literally any other cup I would have had the most massive mess to clean up. It's the small things haha!

All in all, I say give them a try! It's a cute place and a fun experience...
