Pros: Tasty, fresh food, healthy portions, plenty of leftovers which made the high price tag for the meal feel better.
Cons: Mostly around the service.
The young lady with glasses taking my order rushed me through (I was placing a large order for 7 of us and after a couple of items, “is that it? Anything else? That all?”
I specifically asked for a small guac because I knew we would get a ton with the rolled tacos, just wanted a little extra. I reviewed the receipt and she charged me for a large. The difference was over five dollars! I assumed it was a mistake and asked if she could fix it as she came back out from the kitchen. “Well it’s a really small portion.” I said I understand but I wanted the small. She again referenced the size disparity and went so far as to ask the kitchen for a small to show me the size difference. I finally said “I asked for a small. Please just adjust my order and refund me the difference.” She never apologized and started doing math by hand and writing notes on the back of my receipt. After trying to give her the benefit of the doubt and basically being argued with, it made me feel like she heard me ask for a small and rang me up for a large anyway because perhaps she felt like I didn’t know what I was asking for. She could have asked in the first place, “hey here’s the difference between the sizes, are you sure a small will be enough?” before ringing me up for what she thought was appropriate. She also never repeated my order otherwise I would have addressed it before she finalized and took my card.
She issued the refund for a credit card transaction in cash.
When she handed me the bags with my meal, I had to ask her for my Horchata, then she said “it’s over here” as if I was supposed to have known where behind the counter they keep the cups. At this point, I figure it’s a good idea with an order this large to pull everything out and check it. Glad I did - the salsa that we paid for as part of the chips and salsa, as well as the quesadilla I ordered, were both missing. She pointed at the California Burrito and said “there it is” regarding the quesadilla but that wasn’t it 🫠
The food was fantastic (although somehow a little cold by the time I got it home 5 minutes away - it’s over 100 here so not sure how that could be unless the food was already somewhat lukewarm. But still great flavor and perfect crispiness on the rolled tacos and chips. She also did not apologize once for the myriad of issues. All fixable things but it would have been nice for her to acknowledge the inconvenience. If I hadn’t stopped to look through my bag I would have been frustrated to get home with two main parts of our meal missing.
I’d be back because it’s super close and delicious but order accuracy and customer service could...
Read moreThey always charge you for what you order, but they never give you your full order or correct order when ordering take out. They simply tie a knot on a bag with your incomplete or incorrect order and send you on your way home, only to be surprised that they messed up your order once again. And don’t ever pay for the bag of carrots, they will definitely charge you for them but they will always (yes always) forget to add them in your bag even though they’ll say they put them in your bag (check it while still in the restaurant or expect to be surprised when you get home). Today they simply threw 3 rolled tacos dry without any of the fixings whatsoever in our order, yet they still charged us as usual for the full plate with all the fixings (guacamole, sour cream, etc.). The same thing will happen when you order a chimichanga plate...you can order the same exact plate every time and they will charge you the same exact amount every time for all the fixings but you will sometime get nothing. Do they just simply forget to complete the plate or do they just not care? Its always a surprise. The food there is great when they get it right. The few times that our order has been correct, we loved it. But too many times we’ve gotten home hungry only to have missing items or incorrect or lazy makings of our order. Yes we’ve mentioned this to staff, and they just said sorry and said they just get too busy sometimes and forget to place all items in your bag, although the funny thing is they definitely never forget to charge you for them. If this was a one-time mistake I wouldn’t think twice about it, nobody’s perfect, but there’s a point when it actually becomes inexcusable. I usually only try to write positive reviews, sorry...
Read moreZERO STARS — This could have ended in the ER. I don’t normally leave reviews like this, but what happened to my son is absolutely unacceptable — and people need to be warned. My teenage son just had his wisdom teeth removed and was in recovery, so I went to this restaurant to get him something soft to eat. I ordered refried beans, thinking it would be safe and gentle for his healing mouth. But as he started eating, he felt something hard — and when we looked closer, we were stunned to find a metal lug nut mixed into the beans. Yes, a lug nut. A piece of hardware. I was horrified. He could’ve choked, swallowed it, or caused serious internal damage, especially after oral surgery. We were lucky — but it should’ve never happened in the first place. I called the restaurant immediately, asking to speak to the manager. No one called me back. I followed up several times. Over 24 hours later, the manager finally responded, and her reaction left me even more upset than the incident itself. There was no apology, no genuine concern, no sense of urgency. She offered to replace the beans with a burrito. A burrito? After something so serious? This isn’t just a mistake — it’s a health hazard. The fact that it was met with indifference and zero accountability is beyond disappointing — it’s dangerous. What if this had happened to a younger child? An elderly person? Someone who didn’t catch it in time? I’m posting this with a photo of what we found so others can understand the severity. Please be careful. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
