We were held hostage on what was supposed to be a three-hour tour that turned into a 7 1/2 hr. ride with minimal tour operator giving city history and landmark information. His eyes were glazed suggesting THC intoxication. He was late, jumping onto the bus while it started from its 305 Lincoln location, down the street. His mic kept going out and he kept putting double A batteries into it. He said alot that did not come true. He said that there are other busses on the route but there was only one, old bus from the Cold War era (no AC). So we headed through Wynwood district, lots of construction, heavy traffic, and condo apt. buildings. The man on the microphone, Riley made many references about the Miami River being made up of sweet water and seawater. So we get down to Little Havana and Riley promises us a stop to stretch our legs, get a Cuban coffee, and take photos of the murals. Well, it did not happen. Riley said stopping was prohibited due to an event (DJ). We did stop at Little Havana Visitor's Center - NO EL BANO! It is located at SW 16 AVE and 8th ST. Some guy on the bus peed in a bottle and chucked it out. Riley's next promise was that we were going to the Seaside Bay pier to catch a boat tour that runs 90 minutes. Nope, we stopped for Mojitos. Riley kept trying to sell us on the mojitos made by a DJ / bartender. We ordered food and luckily, there was a restroom. We waited over 40 mins for a pizza, only to find that it was the wrong pizza ordered! I demanded a refund but they said they would make it right. Riley said we weren't going anywhere. Oh yeah, he said another bus would be picking us up to take us to the boat tour. Sketchy. Again, he pushed the mojitos. Well, they wrapped that frozen pizza fast. and got it cooked. We got onto the same bus, same driver and there were now more people on the bus! Where did these people come from? So after waiting for the bridge to come back down, and after sitting in traffic, we made it down to Seaside Bay. Save yourself some time and just Uber down to Seaside Bay. There are shops and restaurants. It appears that there are available boat tours. We left the decrepit bus for a decrepit boat! There were alot of people already waiting for this boat tour so naturally, all the seats were taken by the time we got on. Another low budget experience. There was no toilet paper or paper towels in the restrooms, this appears to be the issue throughout Miami. Miami isn't an ADA friendly city. The tour's website says 100% ADA accessible. BS! The ramp doesn't even work to allow someone in a wheelchair to get on. People will barely give up the seniors/handicapped two seats at the front of the bus. This boat had a horrible ramp getting on. Forget getting anyone in a wheelchair onto the boat operated by Bayside Breeze, I'm not sure because I didn't take photos of their two boats. The websites show beautiful boats but they were ugly. Again, don't go by the photos on the miami double decker bus tour sites, those red busses aren't theirs. After the bi-lingual tour of D-list actors' homes, we get back to land. At this time I am dreading the bus tour because I don't know if we are headed back to Little Havana or not. If you take this bus and get off, good luck, you are on your own. Riley is high as a kite and so don't bother him with anything. We got back to the start okay. Why we tipped Riley...
Read moreMy experience with MiamiDoubleDecker was the worst ever. Let me start with talking to Steven over the phone the night before my "reservation" he was in a rush while I was trying to get answers how the schedule runs and using my groupon voucher that he took over the phone. I was schedule for the morning bus tour 11:15am arrival go there on time and the lady at the front desk said we had nothing reserved and voucher was used. I explained that I gave him the voucher to steven and then she offered me the next bus tour which is at 1:30pm so I had to stick around until then. The tour was nice after ducking throughout my ride and not get me head cut off from the trees. After the tour bus we went on the boat ride which was also great until we got back to destination we went straight to our bus stop I say like 5:55pm. I seen our bus and the guy with the hat (Andrew) I went directly to him, he said your bus come at 6:15pm while eating his food yet he was standing at the bus which was empty waiting for the people coming off the boat ride which we just came out from. So I walked into 1 store and came back by 6:14pm no bus and I asked another bus driver about our specific bus he said they left. It wasnt just me and my sister waiting for the bus, but a family from Germany 1st experience here to Miami. So i decided to call the office to check this out. I called and Steven answered and told me the bus should be there by 6:30pm I said I hope your right because u didnt reserve us for our morning tour cant take his word for anything. Quarter to 7 no bus called again from other people phones because my phone died David said 7pm will be the last pick up, 7:20pm came no bus no phone us and this family from Germany(didnt have a U.S phone line to make any calls) waiting very upset and they are giving us a run around. 3rd call was made to a Emily yet im basically asking people around for a phone to call this crazy unprofessional company. She left me on hold and here pops out the bus OMGGGGG I say it was 735PM by the time we got on the bus after making 3 calls. These people must change there staff members from reservations to giving people wrong times on arrivals departures. Explain things in detail especially for 1st time tourist. When the bus came a the guy (NICK) came out and said did you just call I said yes I was put on hold and he apologized and asked me if there was anything he can do to make us satisfied I said as long as you take us and these other family back we are good. He was very sweet and welcoming. Andrew you did not deserve that tip in the container you lied to us because you were our ride back but you too busy eating and not talking to your customers. DEAL on groupon was great tour was amazing staff suck 100% except for Nick get people more like him for customer service over the phone and feel...
Read moreI am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the experience my family and I had during our recent two-day hop-on hop-off bus tour in Miami. As a family of four, we were looking forward to exploring the city, but our experience was far from enjoyable.
Firstly, we arrived late due to a fatal accident on the freeway, which was beyond our control. The we’re still selling tickets for afternoon buses on the website and we had a 2 day pass. However, I was disappointed to be charged an additional $60 to reschedule our start time.
Upon finally starting our tour, we reached the Wynwood stop where the guide informed us we would have only 10 minutes there. Unfortunately, the stop was a significant distance from the main area of interest, requiring us to walk about 15 minutes. We confirmed with the driver that the bus would return approximately every hour, give or take 15 minutes. After exploring the murals for about 20 minutes, we returned to the bus stop only to find ourselves waiting in the heat for an exhausting 2.5 hours before a bus finally arrived.
When I reached out to customer service for assistance, I was met with rudeness and a lack of professionalism. I received conflicting information about the arrival time of the bus, and at one point, I was even told that I shouldn’t have gotten off the bus, which contradicts the very nature of a hop-on hop-off tour. I felt disrespected and was ultimately hung up on after trying to resolve our situation. It has been made clear by everyone we spoke to that there are “no refunds,” which adds to our frustration, it clearly states “2 Day Miami hop o. Hop off tour” on the ticket
Our experience continued to decline during our visit to Little Havana, where we were allotted just 30 minutes for lunch. Given the circumstances, we decided to use Uber to navigate around Miami instead of relying on the unreliable bus service. Additionally, the condition of the bus was disappointing; the lack of air conditioning on the lower level made it uncomfortable, and the seats were broken and rundown.
Finally, when we visited Million Dollar Bay, we witnessed a full bus load of people waiting for their bus while other companies had their vehicles readily available. It was disheartening to see the Miami Double Decker bus service fail to meet the expectations of its customers.
Overall, our experience was frustrating and did not reflect the quality of service we anticipated. I hope you take this feedback seriously and work to improve your services for...
