In a city spoiled / and also overcrowded by Cuban food, Bella Cuba reigns FAR superior! It was tough choosing where to go, and I am so happy I chose here instead for my last meal in Miami.
One glance at the menu and you’ll see that this restaurant has extremely fair prices, many of entrees come with two sides, and If you’re lucky enough to have Manny serve you, he is an exceptional guide that brings the whole experience together!
The appetizer with fried calamari and shrimp is the perfect starting point, with great texture and crisp. For entrees we got the special (grilled snapper, with shrimp and a creamy house made sauce which was highly recommended by Manny). It was huge, not fishy tasting at all, and both the fish and shrimp yet again had perfect texture.
But let me tell ya, you gotta get the cuban oxtail too. First off, it’s very fairly priced, given how expensive oxtails are. Most places skimp on how much they give you but here the portion size is huge! But man the meat is fall off the bone, and has such an amazing sauce. Get it with the Cuban rice and beans, and maduros and you got a perfect meal. Legit the best thing I ate in Miami.
This spot is so authentic, the interior is a great vibe, has exceptional service with Manny, and a fair price. What more can you ask for? The guava cheesecake was also unique and a great final touch.
TLDR; Would recommend, 100%, don’t get fooled by the other overpriced competitors, this is where it’s at! I’ll be back here for sure next time I’m in town, thanks Manny,...
Read moreStepping into Bella Cuba, one immediately gets a taste of the vibrant Cuban culinary scene, albeit with a price tag that might raise some eyebrows. While the menu may lean towards the steeper end, the flavors and essence of Cuban cuisine manage to shine through, making it a decent spot for a flavorful meal.
The food, undeniably delicious, carries the hallmark tastes of traditional Cuban dishes. From savory lechón to mouthwatering Ropa Vieja, the flavors are reminiscent of authentic Cuban home-cooked meals, resonating with those familiar with the cuisine.
However, the sticking point here is the pricing, which leans towards the higher side, perhaps more than what one might expect for typical Cuban fare. Despite the quality of the food, the overpriced nature of the menu could leave some patrons feeling a bit hesitant, especially given the availability of more affordable options for similar culinary experiences elsewhere.
The ambiance of Bella Cuba mirrors the liveliness and warmth of Cuban culture, with vibrant colors and lively music contributing to the overall dining experience. The atmosphere strives to transport patrons to the heart of Cuba, adding an enjoyable touch to the meal.
In essence, Bella Cuba is a decent representation of authentic Cuban cuisine, offering flavors that evoke the spirit of the country's gastronomic heritage. However, the slightly inflated prices might make it a splurge for those seeking a more budget-friendly taste of Cuban...
Read moreThis is my first time in Miami and I wanted to try some really good Cuban food. My friend and I decided to catch the trolley to Lincoln street and search from there. Welp, we googled restaurants in the area and Bella Cuba came up. It had a good rating so we went and I am so glad we did. When we entered a couple had just ended their meal and we were the only people there. Manny greeted us warmly and gave us a run down of the menu. We ordered Beef and Chicken empanadas to start and ordered the Rabo Encendido (Oxtail stew) with maduros and yellow rice and the Midnight sandwich to share. When I tell you the food was phenomenal, I tell no lies. This meal was fantastic. All the dishes were full of flavor with every bite from start to finish. The empanadas were light, crispy and delicious. The oxtails blew me away. They were fall off the bone tender, and the stew over the yellow rice was simply heaven. The maduros were cooked to perfection. You can tell there is pride in these dishes. As we were enjoying our meal the restaurant quickly filled up and I understand why. If you are in Miami you should not leave without trying...
