When vacationing in South Beach, we noticed there was consistently a line at Pizza Bar. We made a stop on our last day of vacation and I'm glad we did..
You walk in and are greeted by the massive over the top pizzas for you to pick/choose. This small pizza bar has sit down options inside, outside and the actual bar which houses a few flat screens. The pizza ovens are behind the bar so you get to watch pizza art in motion.
The massive pizza slices get served to you over two paper plates. They are that long AND wide. They lean towards that NYC style: Thin crust and lots of cheese. The crust was tasty and the cheese was fresh. They have their pizza down here at Pizza Bar. I had the classic pepperoni and sausage slice and all was good. I left feeling pretty full. This is a pizza slice that eats like a meal!
If you're strolling around collins avenue, and need a quick snack or are feeling pizza like we were, Pizza Bar as you covered. This was a nice little break from all the Cuban food I was throwing down during my...
Read moreChristmas Eve called for a good meal and with 3 hungry boys the usual winner winner chicken dinner meal is pizza. We left our hotel and some steps away we found The Pizza Bar. There is NO parking attached to the restaurant so you must walk to it. When you go inside there is bar style sitting not good for kids and one area in the front for 2 small tables. There is a couple of options yet the choice is simple either select one big slice of pizza that would count as a small pizza or THE PIE the size of 2 tables. The server/cashier was real nice to us eventhough she dealt with rude customers before us. Cooking time was approximately 25 minutes and we sat in the front watching people walk on by while listening to good rock music. We purchased THE PIE that was big enough to feed a pack of African lions. For it being such a large pie, it had flavor in each bite and stayed warm. Look this place is not for dieters yet for $65ish dollars it fed the clan and then some. Yes please visit this place it's family friendly only obstacle is...
Read moreI have always been a fan of Pizza Bar, but after last night's attempt at to have 3 pizzas delivered, I'll never recommend this place again.
First off, I called to place an order. They put me on hold for over 10 minutes, then eventually hung up on me.
So I tried their online ordering service. My order went through and I waited.
Long story short, 2 hours later, the pizzas never arrived. I tried calling them multiple times and no one picked up the phone. I even sent a friend to go check on the order since they are 2 blocks from where I was, and they told my friend that the oder was out for delivery.
I eventually canceled the order and was fortunate enough to receive a complete refund. Small consolation, but it sucks that the 30 people I promised food to, never got their food.
If you can't deliver, then don't offer the service. If you don't want to offer over the phone service, don't put it on your website.
Otherwise, pick up your damn phone and take our orders...and delivery in a...
