Mid Beach Park — Attraction in Miami Beach

THIS IS NOT A PARK. It's an ENORMOUS carpark to access the beach with minimal amounts of greenery and some shrubs around the beach path (as apparently a lot of Miami "parks" are. There is absolutely no shade and the concrete carpark makes the whole area unbearable. I took my toddler for a run around after reading reviews, and we ended up sitting in a flowerbed to just have a snack and seek some shade. There was one single bench under a tree which was taken by a shouty real estate man on his phone. It may be under renovation according to some of these reviews, either way it was horrid. Nice quiet beach area with a park for the kiddos. It’s very clean and the water is almost clear. Not much algae which I liked. The parking lot for this beach area is much bigger than the others you will encounter off of Collins. There are lifeguards and a restroom cabin.
