I rarely comment on restaurants but I’ll make an exception here. There is the typical, considerable chi chi hype online—which the restaurant doesn’t live up to. The service was good; our waitress was very friendly. But it was no more note-worthy than service at any chain restaurant. More unfortunately, neither was the food. The fish and chips were only remarkable for the amount of salt in the batter. The “chips” were waffle fries a la Chick fil a. The pepperoni pizza was long on bread, short on any other ingredient. In contrast to other reviews, we had margaritas that were neither weak nor tasteless. They were quite good. In all, like so many restaurants these days, the emphasis is on bulk not quality. As mentioned, there was a considerable amount of pizza dough. Similarly, the amount of waffle fries could easily have been enough for two, three, maybe four orders. To me, and you may disagree, far better to savour exceptional food than to fork in as much as possible. If you’re in the latter camp, this restaurant works for you; but if in the former, you may be rather disappointed. And yes, like everything at the Fontenbleu a service charge of 18% is pre-added to the bill. Pity, left to my own, I usually give more.
Michael Mina, wherever you are, time to taste the food leaving...
Read moreOk, this one needs some consideration. It's a high priced hotel ( to the regular person standard, like myself ) so the price is high, $200 for 4 people (3 adults 1 child) and considering we all got burgers $28 each. Plus chicken wings and drinks.
First impression, the girl at the front feels like she's working for an "elite" level restaurant, she needs to tone her highness down a few notches. She asks how many in the party then asked for my phone number. I said, no, and she was in shock. Instead of just proceeding, she made it a case and had to call her manager. Girl, we don't all just go around providing private info for no reason. There's no reason why a restaurant should require a person's phone number just to enter.
The manager came out and it really was a waste of his time, he showed us all the way to the table, never a mention or question about the number. He sat is at a table and we still bothered him to give us a booth. Without hesitation he switched is over. That's called good customer service. Thank you for being professional.
The server was very friendly and sweet, no stuffy attitude at all. The burgers were definitely tasty. I would say in consideration to the price level of the hotel, well within the quality to...
Read moreAs we walked inside the hostess named Chelsea who was so polite welcomed us and escorted us to our table. She was amazing we spoke for a while regarding the place and different restaurants in the hotel she was so knowledgeable about the information she gave us we recommend asking her for any information if needed. Secondly our server named Hugo he was great and got us everything that we asked for.. the appetizer 1st than few mins later the entree… the drinks were amazing definitely going back for “cool as cucumber” thanks to the bartender. Thirdly the vibe at the restaurant was so cool, very different from other restaurants, not to forget the hostess gave us a table by the window as we mentioned while she was escorting us, my kids loved everything about that place, especially the music that was playing which were all my favorites different mixture of English and Spanish which made it more fun while we ate our food thanks to the dj, I’ll be going back with my kids to the restaurant before we check-out for our last meal , thank you team for the warm welcome and the great time y’all gave us definitely a place to have a good time with family...
