Dining out is supposed to be an enjoyable experience, but nothing ruins the mood faster than a waiter who treats service like a con job. From the moment we declined alcohol, his attitude shifted—his poker face cracked just enough to reveal his disappointment. Apparently, no alcohol meant no big tip in his mind. But the real magic trick came at the end. When presenting the bill, he casually slipped in the line, “part of the tip is already included.” Part? No, the full 20% was already there. The wording was a clear attempt to manipulate us into leaving more, banking on the fact that many diners don’t scrutinize their receipts. A classic bait-and-switch move. Then, the grand finale—he brought the card machine to the table and stood behind me, hovering, as if his presence would pressure me into tipping more. I could feel the expectation radiating off him, like a magician waiting for the audience to fall for the illusion. Nothing—and I mean nothing—was more satisfying than clicking NO TIP. Watching that little moment of realization settle in? Priceless. Let’s get something straight: A waiter’s job is literally bringing dishes from the kitchen to the table, drinks from the bar, and handing over the check. You are not cooking. You are not mixing drinks. You are not even brewing the coffee. If you want to make more money, here’s an idea: don’t extort customers by guilt-tripping them. Go to school, study, learn a skill, build a career—make more money the right way. A service charge is a service charge. Trying to squeeze more out of guests after already securing 20% isn’t just greedy—it’s downright unethical. I reward great service generously, but I refuse to be played. Would I return? Not a chance. If you do, be prepared to dodge the tricks and double-check your bill. The food in the other hand is amazing. It’s one of my favorite sushi restaurants. I went to so many different Nobu’s worldwide, but will never come in person again...
Read moreTo preface this review I’ve been to Nobu in Scottsdale, Atlanta, and Los Angeles, and even had a private event with chef Nobu Matsuhisa himself during Miami food and wine week.
This location is without a doubt the worse location I’ve ever been to. I’d like to thank Elizabeth for honestly ruining my fiancees birthday.
Due to reservations, we took a reservation at 10:20pm. Once we arrived our server was nowhere to be found. We sat around for 30minutes before we even got water.
Once our server finally came and gave us water, she informed us the kitchen was closing and we had to get our entire order in.
Her entire attitude was just awful. She rushed every single thing and made sure to pressure us to order quickly and reminded us multiple times the kitchen was closing.
The funny thing is that tables kept sitting down after us even a table to 8+ people around 12am, who was happily served by another server.
I nicely informed Elizabeth that it was my fiancées birthday and she rudely told me I know.
For someone who told me they knew, she completely blew it. She took our dessert order and disappeared for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, a server assistant came and dropped off the desserts to the wrong person at the table and just left.
Our server was gone the entire time during desert but came to drop off the check at the end. Our check was $1500+ and honestly we felt awful from the service.
Honestly will never be coming back to this location again, which is a shame cause we’re locals.
I’ll visit the other locations gladly as the service isn’t as terrible as this place.
Our entire party left feeling kinda empty and disappointed, which is a shame cause the food is amazing and the atmosphere is great, but the service just ruined our...

First to start out the restaurant itself is in a very old hotel with a lot of tourist and very party oriented vibe. Loud people screaming walking in bikini and basically very dirty lobby from beach and pool access. This is definitely a super Miami Beach party atmosphere which is why I don’t think this restaurant is set in the right environment.
The food is very very expensive for small bites literally 2 bites of sushi $50 Food quality is super fresh and I can say they have a lot of options to choose from on their menu. But if you like sushi be prepared to spend at least $200 per person. Not including drinks.
I tried a little bit of everything , Tuna crispy rice was decent but very small amount of tuna and the fried part was hard and very oily fried taste. Wouldn’t get again. Salmon tacos was decent could have been more mushy and saucy instead of small cubes with barley any sauce on it. The Wagyu tacos very chewy and no flavor whatsoever pointless ordering it. I got a tuna truffle miso sushi it was pretty good not amazing . Wouldn’t get it again. Best of everything was a tradito with red snapper cut thin and garlic sauce!! That was my favorite thing on the menu . I also ordered a similar plate called new sashimi with salmon cut thin like a tataki was also pretty delicious.
The quality of the fish is very fresh which is why I would give this place a 3.5 stars but the price does not complement the food. I wouldn’t spend here again.
