Very rude owner/store manager (gentleman with the white beard). They have a no food/drink policy and instead of giving us a polite reminder or reasonable alternative, he yelled at us to "GET OUT". .🙄 The merch was probably overpriced anyway so maybe he did us a favor
In reply to the response...I want to be clear that I'm not complaining about the rule, but about the customer service (well, potential customer in this case). We did not argue against the rule and were not combative whatsoever in a way that would warrant being yelled at to "GET OUT" as if we were criminals.
I've been in many stores that sell fine antiques and luxury items that have that policy in place. In my experience, staff members reflect the caliber of the products sold and treat their clientele with care and manners.
I recommend setting aside an area/table where customers can set their drinks or whatever is not allowed in the store.
