I really wanted to give this place the 5 stars but I can't! No way no how! Over priced food that isn't really worth the price they put on it. My husband found this place on Yelp while we were visiting Miami before a family cruise back in December, and I usually don't question my husbands recommendations for food because he and I are on the same wave-length. But this place, no matter how much of a "Cuban feel" it might have, doesn't have the right to say that they have the best of anything. My husband and I are vegetarians so we both decided to get the stuffed avocados with shrimp. For $22 EACH, I would have expected more than just 5/6 pieces of shrimp in a tomato based sauce and 4 pieces of platanos that were hard as a rock. The "famous" for mojitos tasted like something I can buy from a bottle. Out of the 4 adults that got the mojitos, not one of them tasted like the other. Some were made too weak while some were made too strong. They couldn't keep the liquor consistent. We tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt, but when we couldn't get our waitresses attention for more than 15 minutes and the tab for 5 people was over $200 - I know that I won't be going there ever again. The only thing that really made our night there was an older gentleman singing old fashioned songs. It is such a tourist trap for those that don't know that this food is overpriced and don't even taste authentic. Don't...

I really wanted to give this place a 5-star rating based on the super nice gentleman dancing out front as well as the amazing guitarist that performed Saturday night; however the food/service were so bad I couldn't. At first the server took the drink orders and they came out quick and came back shortly thereafter to grab food orders and we were in a roll. All was great thus far. The food for 2/3 of the table came out so we figured the remaining was right behind, but this is where is just goes downhill. The server never came back to check on us, I had to ask 4 times for water for the table, when the remaining food was brought out they claimed it was chicken (what we ordered) but it was indeed beef. The server became defensive in that is was chicken and then another server came by and said they apologize as they did accidentally serve beef. I actually never received the steak sandwich I ordered and the "super cubans" were reheated versions of everything but a Cuban. Then came the bill, to which they added a 20% service charge and when I questioned it as well as removing the steak sandwich I never received I was met with more attitude, an adjusted bill, and now only a 15% service charge. All in all, they may serve the "best mojito in the world", but certainly doesn't make up for the poor food and lack of service. Plenty of other places...

This place was recommended to us by the bus tour guide. He must get a kick back from them or something. It was not good. There is no menu. There is a buffet-style thing full of food where you can order an overpriced main with 2 sides or do an all-you-can-eat. We ordered mojitos and my friend ordered a Cubano sandwich. The mojitos were good, but freaking expensive! $15 each (which we weren't aware of because... no menu). They put some dry ice in the bottom so they bubble and mist, which looks super cool. And I got a decent buzz off of one. My friend's Cubano sandwich was not a real Cubano. It was made from cheap deli slices of meat and didn't include the traditional ingredients. It was also overpriced at $12. And they added gratuity into the bill, so be careful of that.

There was a live band playing, which was great. But a member of the band came over and asked me repeatedly for a tip. It took me a while to figure out what he was asking for. At first I thought he wanted to come play at our table for a tip, which I declined. But he kept asking for a tip. I'm sorry, but if you ask me for a tip, you don't get one. I was actually planning on sticking a $5 bill in their bucket as we left, but the dude asking for a tip made me leave my money firmly...

************ Watch out your check and avoid double tipping. ************* I went there alone by myself, wanted to try some authentic Cuban food. I was seated by a waitress in her 50s. When I asked the recommendation of traditional Cuban drinks, all she said was alcohol Mojitos, because I need to drive, then I just asked water. To my surprise, she brought me a bottle of water instead of regular tap water. When I asked why other guests were having the tap water, she pretended she didn’t understand what I said. I didn’t open the bottle, I asked another young waitress with glasses to replace with the tap water after a while, then the old waitress came back and seemed not happy and asked where is the bottle which I just returned. **** I noticed she served tap water to other tables next to me. **** ============================== From the picture, you can see they charge a mandatory 18% service fee for a party of 1 on my check. ============================== This restaurant seems a tourist trap, someone came in with a carry on bag ( see the third photo ) If you can find other local authentic restaurants, avoid and save a trip.
