I recently stayed at Tower Hotel in Little Havana for five days, and unfortunately, it was a deeply disappointing experience. Here’s a detailed breakdown of the stay:
Location: The hotel is situated in a decent location, accessible via taxi, but lacks connectivity to public transport like metros or trams. If you rely on public transport, this hotel might not be convenient.
Room Quality: The rooms are vastly different from the photographs provided during booking. They are extremely small, very basic, and lack any windows, which made the space feel claustrophobic. It’s essentially just a bed and a bathroom, not what you’d expect from the advertised images. Additionally, the bathroom had a persistent issue with water leaking out of the shower area, and I had to manually drain the water after each use as cleaning staff were rarely available.
Housekeeping: Despite my five-day stay, I wasn’t offered complimentary cleaning, even though the faulty bathroom made the room messy. When I requested cleaning at the front desk, they informed me it was chargeable and even suggested I could have received a clean room if I had split my booking into two separate stays—a ridiculous and unhelpful suggestion.
Customer Service: The front desk was unresponsive and unhelpful. Basic requests for water, fresh towels, toiletries, or room cleaning were ignored. I was repeatedly told to "wait for the front desk" with no resolution. Attempts to raise concerns through the hotel booking app also went unanswered, with only false promises offered in return.
Amenities: Basic amenities were non-functional. For instance, the water dispenser was out of order, forcing me to walk half a mile to the nearest petrol station to buy water.
Overall Experience: This hotel operates more like a self-service accommodation. Guests are left to fend for themselves, and staff appear indifferent to addressing issues. I even saw other guests outside the hotel dealing with similar problems, with no one stepping in to assist.
Final Thoughts: Tower Hotel is not worth the price or the frustration. The rooms are far from what’s advertised, and the lack of service and support makes for a miserable stay. I recommend staying closer to the beach or downtown, where public transport is more accessible, and staff are more attentive. Based on my experience, I would not trust the staff here or recommend this...
Read moreMy stay at the Tower Hotel in Little Havana was an absolute delight! From the moment we arrived, we were met with exceptional hospitality and warmth that truly made our trip special. The entire team, from the front desk to the maintenance staff, went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The young woman at the reception desk was incredibly welcoming and efficient, making our check-in a breeze. We also had the pleasure of interacting with Mr. Julio, the head of maintenance, who was wonderfully attentive and diligent, always ensuring everything was in perfect working order. A huge thank you to our host, Bianca, for her kindness and constant willingness to assist us with anything we needed. Her proactive approach and genuine care made all the difference. The hotel itself is a tranquil oasis. The location is both central and serene, offering a peaceful escape while still being close to all the action. Our room was exactly as pictured online—cozy, comfortable, and impeccably clean. The hotel's vintage-inspired decor gives it a charming, timeless feel, yet it's clear that cleanliness is a top priority. The entire place was spotless and smelled fresh and inviting. I was particularly impressed by the small, thoughtful touches. Every day, the staff would check in to make sure we had everything we needed, and the amenity area was a lifesaver. Being able to grab basic necessities whenever we needed them was a huge convenience that speaks volumes about the hotel's commitment to guest comfort. The Tower Hotel is more than just a place to stay; it’s an experience. The exceptional staff, particularly Mr. Julio, the young woman at the front desk, and Bianca, make this place truly stand out. If you're looking for a peaceful, charming, and welcoming hotel with a staff that treats you like family, I highly recommend staying here. We can't...
