I am not going to tell you my age but I will say I've been to countless hobby shops in my lifetime and not one is comparable to Te Hobby Shop. I could tell you about how their customer service is top-notch or how the staff are Jacks of all trades but I would rather tell you their parts, kits, tools, etc, are a hobbyist dream come true. If they don't have what you need they could probably get it. Considering you are there to begin with, you could probably make what you need out of what they already have! Seriously, if you're in the area then you should stop in and check it out. It's by the old CompUSA on the corner of 725-741. I bet that anyone who leaves the store ends up leaving with a hobby, whether they walked through the door with one or not!

I needed some parts for one of my rc model airplane projects, so I came to this store hoping they would have them. I was pleasantly surprised by the inventory of parts and kits and arf airplanes they carry. They had everything I was looking for. I also picked up two rolls of very hard to find monokote covering film. The store is well organized, with each hobby having its own section. They carry quite the variety. I will be back for more supplies.

I've been going here for almost a decade with no regret and just got back into it. Bought my 3yr old a 100 dollar rc car. It quit working after one use but these guys went above and beyond to make it right. Not only did they replace it but he gave it a full test run before sending us on our way to make sure it was working. Haven't had a problem since and this is the only place we will go. These guys rock!

This is so hard for me to write this review but I think it should be public what I experienced. I will say that I have found the employees to be helpful and wonderful prior to this situation and was really, truly surprised. I purchased 2 RC Trucks, batteries, extra bodies, chargers and lots of extra parts. About $1000 bucks. From the start, I was having problems with my LiPo battery and Charger for my Granite truck. Took the charger and battery in, was told I was sold the wrong charger. They exchanged for one that "would work", no questions asked. OK, cool, but why was I sold the wrong charger ? With the new, correct charger, the LiPo battery lasted 10 charges. 3 cells dead. Went back and was told I needed the receipt to exchange the battery, that these "generation 1" Spektrum LiPo batteries had known issues and worst case, they "may not accept the return" and I would have to contact the manufacturer. I went home, got the receipt and brought it back when the young lady told me it was out of warranty, and they couldn't do anything for me. I purchased it in April. It was cycled just 10 times. Their receipt clearly stats the 30-day return policy, but both of the sales folks noted that these batteries had "problems". I was told that any battery with a green dot was supposedly tested and approved, but obviously that did not work in my case. The battery is dead. Then why sell them? I asked to see a manager and was told she was a manager. Now I have a car we can't drive, and I'll wait on Spektrum to see if they warrant it. Ebay, Amazon etc. would have allowed the return of a defective product, which this clearly is, and the issues were known. (While I love the convenience of these sties, I will buy local due to the assistance and help you usually get from your local hobby stores). Do your research and be careful buying a Spektrum battery here. I'll post later if Spektrum sends me a new one, but what a hassle. (Their site says be patient, they are receiving a high number of claims, service traffic). Like I said, this is a tough review to write as I have been impressed with their employee's passion and the willingness to help...

I used to like this shop but my recent visit has now made me never want to go back A buddy and I went in here looking for a couple parts for his truck (which they had) and to get mine checked out and get the part I needed to fix mine. Buddy got his parts and was assured everything he needed was in the package, it was not, to fit this part he needed a special tool which it did not include. My truck would not turn with the steering servo plugged in. I just replaced my dead ESC and couldn't figure it out. Was told by 2 people it was my remote receiver went out. I went ahead and just bought a whole new remote (upgrade from the one I had) since I was told the receiver was my problem and the remote/receiver combo was only another 20-30 bucks. Got it home and this made no change to my issue at all. Called the shop back to see if I could return it and was told they don't do returns even though I only bought this stuff because two of their employees told me that was my issue. So they got my 100 bucks only for me to have to go to another shop and spend more money on what actually fixed my issue. The people in this shop don't seem to know much behind the counter with the exception of the young woman and the guy who actually works on the RC vehicles for money. Be careful if you take advise from some of...

This is by far my favorite hobby shop in Ohio they have great prices lots of items in stock and all the staff that I've interacted with are knowledgeable enough to answer questions and give advice. I would recommend purchasing from this hobby shop over purchasing online for the simple fact of the hands-on experience and prices that are better than the online prices as well as being able to purchase with confidence that if something is wrong they will take care of it for you. Christopher and Carmen are two employees at this location and both of them have outstanding customer service. One particular instance I was heading to the shop from out of town and was running a little late Chris and Carmen stayed an additional 30 minutes past closing time so that I could get what I needed. My last four trips to the hobby shop have been a great experience the staff was very friendly and helpful. The owner of this shop is very kind understanding and has a high level of integrity. If there's a problem he will make it right. I will be returning to this hobby shop for any of my RC...
