Let me start out by saying I love their food, their salad dressing is the bomb! Everybody there is so nice and friendly. But over the last couple of years the quantity and quality of their service has gone down. Last night for dinner I ordered for my wife and I to go. I ordered a 3 meat gyro Palace combo with Greek salad and a large Greek salad add chicken shish kabob. First off they forgot my Greek salad that comes with the gyro Palace combo. Went back in and they gave me the salad and apologized but didn't realize they forgot the salad dressing until I got home😩. Once home, I opened up my gyro and was shocked, I had one piece of steak and two small pieces of chicken and very little gyro meat but had plenty of tomatoes and onions. My wife's (large)greek salad only had five pieces of chicken and very little feta cheese. Very disappointed in the lack of consistency. I would have went back and I'm sure they would have corrected everything but I live too far away. We've order at least once a week for lunch for many years. But in the last couple of years too often we are left disappointed with the lack consistency. I'm writing this day, in an effort to help implement protocols to better service...
Read moreAbsolutely nailing it with the gyros and all other Greek offerings. It seems my timing may be off, as I have been profusely talking this place up for late night eats for the last few weeks after I discovered the 03:00 closing time on the weekends, but now I see that they've edited their hours to close at the same time as every other restaurant in town, which is a huge letdown, considering this was easily the freshest and lightest late-night option. That still doesn't take away from the delicious food that's served with great customer service. It's true that Americans will always complain about portion size versus cost (it's never good enough), and although I haven't been affected by portion size, I do recognize that there is a monopoly of good Greek restaurants in the greater Dayton area, which generally means the prices will be high because of the lack of competition (looking at you,...
Read moreBeen ordering from Gyro Palace for about 5 years now and they rarely disappoint. The portion sizes are nice for the price. My favorites are the Chicken Gyro Supreme sandwich and the one piece order of Baklava. The food tends to be delivered around the estimated time. I also like the fact they don't ask for your credit card number over the phone like a lot of delivery places do. My only true complaint is they need to find a way to keep the food warmer while delivering it because many times the food arrives cold. Maybe use something similar to what pizza places use to keep their pizzas warm during delivery? Outside of cold food and on rare occasions charging me for a Gyro platter over the sandwich, there isn't much to complain about considering its the only Gyro place that delivers around here. -1 star for cold food, +1 star for not asking for credit card info...
