Harbor Freight — Attraction in Michigan City

Im a tourist visiting the sites and my daughter's wheelchair needed to be fixed. After scouring the store, I found some of the parts I needed to fix the chair. The only issue was that the bolt I needed wasn't available in the store. The staff, Sylvia and Eric both helped and even directed me to another establishment to get the last missing part.

Okay, down to the actual review.

The store layout is simple and easy to navigate. The prices were reasonable. I saw a lot of items on sale and the store had coupons available to give to the customers. Employees were helpful and went above and beyond which was appreciated.

Harbor freight is a great place to grab a cheap tool you need. I'm not too familiar with their more expencive lines, as I'd just go to Lowes or Menards if I was looking for quality over price.

Everything I have gotten from here has performed as expected. It's budget tools that will get your job done without the bells and whistles. I have yet to be disappointed by any purchases from here. Just keep in mind what your getting and keep your expectations in check and you can save a LOT of money with some harbor freight budget tools.

This store is hit or miss! Products advertised are always out and they never carry enough free gifts to last for the dates they advertised. The employees tonight couldn’t even show me where a product was in the store. They said it was in the back. Other stores will take you to the product and answer any questions….not this location or at least not these two employees that were on duty tonight. I walked out of this store and didn’t purchase anything. This store lost a sale because the employees lack of interest in helping me/customer.
