The only reason it's getting a 3 star instead of a 1 is that it's selection is the best in Midland. This location is starting to go downhill bad. The managers are running the checkouts like a Walmart and early in the morning it's a battle to maneuver around the stockers and curbside shoppers. The stockers leave merchandise all over the aisle making huge trip hazards. It's no wonder they haven't received any injuries from customers yet. The curbside shoppers take up the whole aisle, stand in the way, and just blatantly cut you off. The check out area is the worst part of the whole store. Self check out is limited to 10 items or less which is no big deal until you end up with 45 minute lines on the only 4 regular check outs open. Today (Monday) they had 6 of the 18 check outs open. 2 of them were 15 items or less and there were lines down the aisles. Management got mad at self check out for allowing people with a little more than 10 items in there and they felt the need to have 2 main registers be 15 items or less. They finally decided to switch one of the 15 items or less register to regular and then shut down the second 15 item or less register completely. This is poor management at its finest. Even with the influx of people there should not have been a wait that long to check out. You made your own congestion by not manning the registers properly to begin with. Those two 15 items or less registers should have been completely open and there would not have been lines that long. Don't have a self check out with an item limit if you are going to dedicate registers to 15 items or less. It defeats the purpose. Now my frozen items are completely thawed upon leaving the store. Thanks for that. Your standard needs to be better...
Read moreStopped in for BBQ. When I got there, there was a line probably about 7 deep. There was 1 register open but 4 associates standing behind the register. While the associate was taking orders 1 associate was standing leaning up against an ice chest talking to the other associates. I ordered my food after waiting 10 minutes to order. I specifically said no pickles and onions on my tray. The one thing I don't like is pickles I guess the ice machine was broken because they gave me my cup of ice for my drink. Went over to get my drink and the soda was also broken. Went to get a fork and there were no forks. Batting zero at this point. Hopefully the food will make up for everything else When I go to pick up my food. There were pickles on top of my BBQ. I told the associate behind the counter that I asked for no pickles. She brushed and picked the pickles off and handed the plate back to me. I asked to remake my order because I don't want pickle juice on my BBQ. The associate took my plate and when she came back with the plate, she dropped it on the counter and turned and said something to the other associate in Spanish. I have no idea what she said but that's not a good look at all. Got my plate and went to eat my BBQ. I've had a lot of BBQ in my life and this BBQ had to be the worst ever. The Sliced moist BBQ was like eating a pot roast. The meat didn't seem like it was brisket. It was terrible and on top of that, I could still taste pickle juice on my BBQ. My experience here was not a good one at all. I've been to HEB many times and this was the worst experience ever. HEB I know you are better than this. Thank God I don't live here. The HEB in my town would never operate in...
Read moreOn the date of February 15 2020 day of blackouts and freezing temperatures my children and I went to H.E.B as it being one of the few places having power and heat at the time. Because of the power outage and horrible conditions unfortunately we were unable to drive to the bank to get money out so our only form of pay and hope was apple pay . Once my children and I got all that we needed we proceeded to pay only to find out HEB didnt except apple pay. Thankfully the cashier who checked us out allowed us to pay by inputting my card information to the computer and we were able to get out basic food and water necessities . Later we sat and were able to charge my phone as many others were as well generously provided by HEB when we realized our socks were soaked from the snow and we decided to go and buy new ones but when i got to this other cashier i was surprised that we were unable to pay the same way as we did the 1st time. They denied us service and well as reporting us to the manager who then followed me and my children around the store asking for a receipt that was buried under serval bags of groceries my children and I were cold and exhausted . The woman informed me that the form of payment we had payed with was against store policy and seemed very upset . I just want to say i am thankful for that cashier who saw a family in need instead of just a customer and made a way for us to pay for our things. without her help I would not have been able to give my kids basic food and water God...
