W.P. Bill Atkinson Park — Attraction in Midwest City

I do not recommend @W.P. Bill Atkinson Park in midwest city off midwest blvd between ne 10 and ne 23. The park slide is a glorified rubber tarp that caused my rose 🌹 to have a burn that was very painful and we will myself and Ashleigh Wisdom be looking to press liability charges against the park and parks and recreation of okc. This is highly frustrating and a risk to other children and I am sure I will not be the first or the last person to be upset by this flagrant equipment that is not safe. Not enough shade for the parents and the children but there is a lot to do. It would be better for the littler children if there were swings for them and things for them to do besides slide on piping hot slides in the sun. Plus the weekends a LOT of the older kids come and push the little ones down to get where they're going. There are bo bathrooms (the restrooms are locked to the public). Two playground areas, one for younger kids and one for older kids. Rock climbing wall. Gaga ball. Lots of play equipment for the littles. Lots of benches for sitting, including some swinging benches. No tables for eating....
