If I could rate this with less than one star, that would more accurately describe what my husband and I experienced tonight. Let me start by saying that if you like the restaurant and do not want your positive views to be marred, scroll past and don't read this.
It all started when we first walked in the door. The hostess was snacking on peanuts and took her time in getting menus to take us to a table. Never once did she ask if we wanted a table or a booth, and seemed annoyed when we asked her if we could sit at a table instead of the small booth she was leading us to. That should have been our clue to turn around and leave, but our previous experience at this restaurant had been good, so her attitude didn't deter us.
Once seated, it took a good 10-15 minutes before anyone even acknowledged we were there. When a server finally walked up, he said "looks like your server hasn't come to you...I'll get you started", yet even before he took our drink orders, he looked around to the two other servers wandering in the area and said "is this your table?" Once he realized the server that was assigned to our table was swamped with a big group, he took our drink and food orders, obviously annoyed that he had to take care of us.
He brought drinks and rolls. We had no silverware or napkins. We weren't offered any, nor did the server show up, so I got up and took some off an empty table nearby. Seriously.
When the food finally came out, he walked up from behind so we couldn't see that he was coming and acted aggravated that he had to get our attention to place the food in front of us. I ordered shrimp, my husband ordered steak and shrimp, and we had to ask for cocktail sauce. It took a few minutes for that to arrive...long enough that I thought he must have had to go to the closest seafood restaurant to ask for some!
Fast forward to the end of our meal. Every other table in our section had left and we were waiting for to go boxes. Waiting...and waiting...and waiting...
Finally after a good 10 minutes, my husband was able to flag down a waitress and ask for the manager, who promptly came to check on our table. After telling her about our experience, she apologized and went to get us to go boxes. Before she returned, the server walked by and asked if we needed boxes. When he came back with them, the manager had returned, with to go boxes, a box of rolls and butter, a bag to carry our things in, and another server with to go drinks, that we hadn't even asked for. She looked directly at our server and asked if he had our ticket. When we paid, we found that the manager has discounted our meal 50% and gave us a coupon for a free appetizer.
I'm not sure that we will ever return and use the coupon because tonight's experience was so bad, but I do appreciate that she tried to make up for what we had gone through. Note to owner: nothing you can say will change our minds or opinions after tonight's experience. Just know that it wasn't surprising that the restaurant was as...

THIS PLACE HAS ONE GOAL, GET YOU IN AND OUT AS FAST AS POSSIBLE!!!
The server was not a professional server. I asked for orange with my 312 beer and it didn't arrive. I asked for 2 sauces for my wings which didn't arrive. We had to prod/encourage her to remove dishes and glasses as they were used. We told her we weren't in a hurry and would order when we were finished with our queso but she still asked for our order 3 times while we were trying to unwind and enjoy our conversation. The reason we didn't want to rush was exactly what happened next. We placed our order and before we could finish our salads they were "literally" shoving our salad plates away (while we eating from them) with our dinner plates. How rude! We went on Saturday at 7:30 to avoid the rush so we wouldn't have to rush our dinner and at this time the tables around us weren't being filled as the peak time had past. If I want FAST FOOD I know where to go, HERE!
We (the company I own) stopped holding our Christmas dinner here. 2 years ago. I talked to a manager on Wednesday about our company dinner plans and group size. We were assured of accommodations for the arrival time and table size. When we arrived(at the time we were told) not only did we have to wait 45 minutes they finally opened an OVERFLOW room on the south side of the restaurant that wasn't heated and was cold. Our party of 8 was all alone in a 20x50 cold room being poorly served by who ever wasn't busy elsewhere.
Nothing has changed VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. The only reason they survive is lack of competition not because of anything they do to earn your business! They've fooled me for the last time!
PS: I thought I may have been a little critical so I read the other reviews. I wasn't. The decline started a few years ago when they were bought out. I'm not the only one who has commented on the steady decline in service and food quality.
NOTE TO THE OWNER: Please don't bother leaving me one of your GRATITOUS self-serving notes. It is evident by the other postings that you truly aren't interested in us the customers and I personally find your replies an affront to the people who took their time to give feedback to...
Read moreAbout a week ago my wife (Tami) made a reservation for yesterday for 16 of her colleagues (Oklahoma Department of Corrections) to have a lil pre-Thanksgiving luncheon.
They arrived and were seated in 4 different tables far away from each other so they couldn't engage in any real conversations with each other.
They moved several tables together (a common accurance that both of us has seen done over and over without issue).
Abruptly an individual comes over identifying himself as the manager and sternly tells my wife that she cannot do that it's "against the fire code" and tells her to put the tables back abd go back to their original seating as he was walking away with increased volume in his voice (a raised voice only a octive or two below yelling).
Two members of their party left immediately to avoid saying something and causing a scene.
What was supposed to be a fun gathering of colleagues became a "order, eat fast, get out" event. The entire mood was sour leaving people frustrated.
Both my wife and I used to be fans of Santa Fe, it was the first restaurant we went to when I was stationed at Tinker and the restaurant I had my retirement luncheon at (with about 20 people all seated together in the same area my wife was told it is not allowed).
I am not a butterfly who gets feeling over much however, the disrespect to my wife is a hard pill to swallow. A different me would having this conversation in person with the manager. A older me realizes that would do no good so my only recourse is a negative review that might serve as a warning to anyone else looking to eat at your establishment.
Why do you not tell parties over 5 that they will have to sit at different locations when they make a reservation. When one makes a reservation for 16 is it not implied they want to sit and enjoy a meal together. Why not tell them at the time of reservation the "fire code prevents it" so they can go to Logans across the parking lot that I guess has a different code?
Yesterday you lost the patronage of several people for the foreseeable future.
You have my wives information if you wish to discuss the matter. She sent a PM via your FB...
