Terrible experience! $3800 CASH in my pocket, ready to buy a recliner and a couch. (Never been there before) All I wanted to do was browse for a few minutes with my wife, gather my questions, my interests... but no! Right off the bat, two steps in the door the sales lady swoops right in, and what started out as a friendly, opening conversation quickly turned into a barrage of questions What do you need,? How can I help? We told her what we were there for and she confirmed... Some pleasantries were exchanged back and forth for a while. But after about 5-10 minutes of this, she just wouldn't take the hint... I politely told her "We're just going to browse for a bit and we'd let her know if we needed anything." Nope, proceeds to tell us it's her 3rd day on the job...Says something to the tune of "Well if you don't mind I would like to walk with you anyway so I can get familiar with the store and better understand what you're after" Mildly frustrated I said, "ummm, ok maybe for a little bit....but I'd like to walk around with my wife a little while and we'll let you know." She totally disregards everything I just said... and dives right in with all these furniture options...What about this, what about that...etc. pushing us, pointing out several options. At this point, my frustration levels are heating up. The conversation is getting uncomfortable with out-of-control suggestions. She was like an annoying little kid that just wouldn't go away!! At this point, my wife is noticing my discomfort and she's getting irritated as well. We're about 15 minutes into this now. (Again, all I want to do is get the lay of the land here and I'll come find her when we're ready...) Finally, I just cut her off and said no thank you and started walking away to browse the store. 60 seconds later she immediately spins a 180 and marches off to see her Manger. We no more turned the corner heading back toward the other side of the store and now the manager stops us, Shakes my hand, and introduces himself. Is everything ok, how can help, what do you need? Now I'm boiling HOT and I've had enough!! I'm not about to repeat everything I just said to her!! Told the guy, "Nope! We're outta here!" He was totally confused about why I was being so short-tempered...but at this point, I just didn't care anymore, I was done and needed to get out of there. We proceeded to get in the car and left. Worst furniture shopping experience I have ever had. I'm 47 years old and this isn't my first rodeo at a furniture store if you know what I mean lol. And to be fair to the new Lady working the floor... I believe the company trained her to be this intrusive... Either way, we left and made our purchase elsewhere and it gets delivered this Saturday. We won't be back.
**In reply to their response: I don't want anything, I'm not sending you any emails. I shouldn't have to speak to a manger to make sure I'm not hounded in your store. Thanks, but no thanks. Ya'll had your shot, no amount of free gifts, discounted furniture or any other incentives will...

I have been through HELL and HIGH WATER with Mathis Brothers delivery! I purchased a mattress from the Outlet store in Midwest City on July 28th and was completely HOUNDED by the manager there, Levi. He kept pressuring me to buy something after I told him over and over that I didnāt want to go over a certain amount in my financing. I was able to make it out with the mattress only and it was delivered to my doorstep as promised, so they did that part right.
After finally escaping the claws of Levi, I decided never to return to the Midwest City Outlet location for any future purchases. Instead, I went to the location on Reno. Everything was going great there ā everyone was friendly and helpful. I found two sofas and a desk for my children, so I was finally at peace.
We set the delivery date for August 1st (the date could be a tad off), and I advised them at the store that I work every day until 4 p.m., so it would have to be delivered after 4. They told me the delivery department would contact me to set up a time frame.
When the delivery department called, they told me I would have to get the furniture when it was best for them (the driver). I thought that was totally backward since I was the one spending a couple thousand dollars with Mathis Brothers. I called the store to see what could be done about this issue, but they were virtually no help. I decided to refund the furniture, and they didnāt care ā the person just transferred me over.
Soon after, I remembered I know a salesperson who works there who is absolutely great. And voilĆ ! He was able to set a delivery time when I could be home to accept my purchases. Iām not sure why no one else could do what he did.
So, TODAY was supposed to be my delivery date. I live in an apartment, in the middle of my apartment complex. I got a knock at the door, and when I answered, the driver greeted me with, āWhatās happeninā?ā ā very unprofessional. The drivers had already delivered one sofa and the desk up the stairs to my porch, but the other sofa remained downstairs. When I asked the drivers to bring the sofa up the stairs to my porch, they refused, claiming they couldnāt bring it up the stairs⦠yet they had just brought the others up.
Thereās no way I could bring that couch up the stairs myself, so I told them to take it back. To my surprise, they carried both couches and the desk all the way back to the truck (mind you, I live in the middle of my complex) when they could have simply brought the last sofa to my porch.
Mathis Brothers has completely stressed me out ā from the purchase pressure, to nickel-and-diming, to the refusal to help. I wish I had gone...

I recently purchased a sectional from the Midwest City store location, and my experience was highly unprofessional, especially regarding the manager, Levi. He promised to price match a lower price I found on another website and confirmed that if I wanted additional pieces, I would be locked in at the same price during my visit. The only reason I didn't purchase the additional armless chair and ottoman was because I wanted to wait until I had the entire sectional to ensure I had enough room.
I was initially told that the sectional was in stock. However, I later found out that an arm piece needed to be ordered and would take about four weeks for delivery. After four weeks, I called to check on the status of my missing piece, which was already paid for, only to be told they forgot to order it because they did not realize it was a special order piece.
Once I finally had a delivery date for the missing piece, I asked if I could get the additional pieces at the same price we had initially discussed. I was then informed that their price match policy had changed a couple of days ago. This was incredibly frustrating because had the piece arrived on time, I would have been locked in to receive the same discount as promised.
I was recently diagnosed with very aggressive breast cancer and decided to splurge one last time on something comfortable. The extra few hundred dollars they are now trying to charge me, which I could have saved initially, is extremely frustrating. I have purchased all of my furniture from Ashley and Mathis Brothers on Reno, and I deeply regret ever walking into the Midwest City location.
I cannot find anything on their website that details the specifics of their price match policy, except for the claim of having the lowest price guaranteed, which they are not honoring. In my professional career, I have referred many people to this store when moving from out of town, but I will no longer be doing so. I was also considering new furniture for my business but will no longer be giving them my business over a few hundred dollars and their dishonesty.
Overall, I am deeply disappointed with the lack of professionalism by Levi and integrity at the Midwest City...
