Planet Fitness — Attraction in Mifflin Township

First off I want to start off by saying it’s a Clean & Beautiful facility, Lots of machines, equipment, space etc. . I travel for work/construction 6 months at a time in & out , travel from state to state & try to stay fit. This location is in a beautiful shopping center, lots of space lighting and parking as well as shopping all on this strip. Out of the 1,000’s I’ve visited this “PF” Location is 1 that I would mark on the map that I like. Don’t know why I like it I just do. With that being said, although it’s 4 out of 5 stars , I took out half a point because the shower curtain wasn’t bad but it could use a washing, so I’m not going to count that point, but what I will count it is although everything was excellent in good standing, I spend a hour and 45 on a “HARD GREAT WORKOUT” shower freshen up relax for a sec, and as I’m leaving I grab a muscle milk. The young fella at the register had me scan my phone (standard) but then a lady stepped in and said being that is not my home gym (HOUSTON) this is (COLUMBUS, OHIO) we cannot use the card on file. “SHE STATES, “THERE’S 10 INDIVIDUALLY FRANCHISED PF’S IN THIS AREA THATS INDEPENDENTLY OWNED AND I CAN WORK OUT I JUST CANT BUY NO GATORADE “”. I was like damn I was feeling good 2. But questioned out of all the 3,000 I’ve been to it’s just odd this is the 1, I can’t even get a drink from. With all honesty I usually don’t get drinks after a workout but out of 3-5 years I buy them here and there & this is the location that stands out… Luckily Kroger’s was next door so it wasn’t no problem, through my bag in the truck & walked on over….. This location 4 out of 5 stars , I will be returning… Also, I drove off and was about to backspace all this (but could use the GOOGLE POINTS) Also listed below is a few pics of (PF “Planet Fitness” “Krogers” as well as my Black Truck with my Black Box with my Black/Purple & Gold PF Stickers from years ago. ALSO I SHOULD PROBABLY BE ON THE PF COMMITTEE FOR MY NEXT STATEMENT… ALTHOUGH THE SHOWER CURTAINS WASN’T BAD, I BELIEVE THAT THEY SHOULD EITHER BE WASHED MORE FREQUENTLY WITH THE AMOUNT OF TRAFFIC THEIR GETTING ORRRR JUST BUY 1,000 OF THEM & REPLACE THEM WEEKLY…. WITH THAT BEING SAID IF I SPENT 2 HOURS THERE AND CAN TYPE ALL THIS AND ALL I CAN SPEAK OF IS A SHOWER CURTAIN AND A MILK, KEEP UP THE GOOD JOB...

WOW! WOW! WOW! WOW!

My apologies for the wows, but WOW!! I am not sure how this location recruited the GM, Hannah (if that's her real name), but they should definitely throw her back. In an effort to work on personal appearance goals and move pass my reluctant nature to workout, I decided to join a gym. Finding a gym offering promotions and flexibility to accommodate a possible lack of commitment on my part (don't judge me). Needless to say, on 7.16 I signed up with Planet Fitness but before I could use their service unauthorized charges appeared on my account. Based on the fine print, I was expecting an annual charge in or around September but not before. I reached out to the gym regarding the matter which is where I interacted with Hannah and everything went downhill from there with no resolution other than a cancelation. The level of customer service I received from her and the dryness of the gentleman answering phones provided a snap shot in what to expect from this location. Luckily, I have other options to explore and can put this experience in my rear view. Being professional, apologetic and showing empathy would have made all the difference in this situation.

Listen, everyone deserves to spend their time and money with customer focused businesses geared towards customer satisfaction/retention and 100% transparency. When the GM is as crass and unprofessional as Hannah there can't be much difference...

HORRIBLE! ALL THE WAY WRONG! This was very disappointing for a Planet Fitness Member. Was on this side of town taking care of business. Decided to go to this location to work out for the day! I was told by the Manager (Chris) at Gahanna location. I wasn't able to work out for the day because I didn't purchase the membership at that location. Chris said, "if, you upgrade you will be able to work out at this location. But, since you didn't get your membership here at the Gahanna location you won't be able to work out here". Now, remember ladies and gentlemen. Planet Fitness prices changes every day on the website. Just because I caught a special deal on time, that's the only reason why I wasn't able to work out for the day. Chris the manager wanted me to upgrade to be able to work out at that location. Because I didn't do so, Chris the Manager said, I couldn't work out for the day! I didn't ask to use any other additional equipment as far as massage chairs or tanning beds. Now, then he would be able to say, "that's not allowed because of your membership only covers using fitness equipment and not the massage chairs and tanning beds". But, you can use other equipment that's what's in your plan.
