Milford Senior Citizen Center — Attraction in Milford

At 70 years old, I have suffered homelessness in Milford for almost 10 YEARS now. Every year I attempt to become a member of the senior center. I am always denied and told "you do not have a residential address." This is in violation of the 2013 CT Homeless Bill of Rights signed into law by Gov. Malloy which states: "No homeless individuals may be discriminated against ...." Ya, right! Lately, someone has been stealing my frozen 1 gallon water bottles which I need to keep from dying from the summer heatwaves. 5 times in a row now!! UPDATE: Make that 6 times!! So many homeless die of heat each year - almost like these deaths...

Rejoined the senior center after a six year lapse. In need of rides to doctor/therapy appointments, and the small annual fee is more than worth the local rides for free. Volunteer and other staff members extremely helpful and accommodating. Offered me equipment to help with my special needs at this time.
