This was my 3rd time going there first 2 times was okay. Went in onAug.1st wanted smoked white fish all out bought mackeral instead. Was told white fish would be avaliable next day after 12 went in 130 was told sold out. Ready to leave I said sold out fast she then said should be done in couple hour's now. She gave me a card with phone number on it so I could call before coming down. Waited couple hours tried to call Went straight to voice mail twice. So I went down again was told 30 more minutes . When I told about calling ahead from number on card she doubted me I did. Wasn't happy she then said let me go back and check. She came back with smoked white fish said this one is done. She gave me a small bag of ice to put on it when I got home placed in fridge to cool it down When we tried it was not smoked completely very fishy tasting. Worst I have ever had. Not wasting time taking back in fact they lost me as a customer. Was happy as hell and friends of mine also that we were getting a fish market in the community. Read moreStopped in today, 4/19/24, and met the owner and I believe his daughter, very nice people. We got some perch and one walleye filet. He recommended the vacuum sealed breading, which looked to be cornmeal to me. I just dredge the perch in the breading then egg wash then the breading again. Pan fried in some olive oil and they were DELICIOUS. Support this place and for sure use that "breading". No other seasoning needed. I love that I can buy fresh perch caught locally and sold by locals! The young lady at the counter, not sure if she is his daughter or not, welcomed us when we entered with a friendly smile. Read moreGot their walleye fish dinner. Was very disappointed. Was expecting a nice large piece of walleye, instead got like 7 to 10 small little cubes of fish that was highly salted. It even had a fishy flavor which walleye Usually doesn't have. We got 3 dinners and no one was overly impressed. The coleslaw was pretty good but put in with the fish made it very warm; prefer coleslaw cold. Slaw was a very small container, maybe 2 tablespoons. For $17 was very disappointing. Not for us.
