Colony Pizza — Restaurant in Millcreek Township

When I bought these treasures....pizzas....I was asked to write a review...so blame that guy...

I was raised in an Italian family which prominently was involved in the restaurant business. The culture of the old country carried in the heart of every bite you ate. Now days it's definitely not like that at your average pizza spot....though Colony Pizza...is so much more

I picked up a jersey pie and a wedding soup pie...to say the least...this is the only restaurant in Erie worthy of saying they sell pizza...it dominates everything else...

The flavor of the gravy"sauce for all those non Italian pie lovers" the texture and the robustness were all phenomenal. The cheese cooked to perfection. A firm but malleable crust to absolute knock the socks off. Made fresh, right before you. The pie all in all was a solid, solid 10, and I DO NOT give any foods a 10 unless they bring me back to a time when things we're cared for, as well as the customers being served them.

The importance of character is also huge to me. Even though working on a large order when I came in the staff was very kind and pleasant. This is grandeur. This is what I miss in society these days. And it's definitely what I miss in pizza

Moral of the story is...this is a staple for the entire United States of what community should be, wrapped up in a sweet little shop, filled with blessings. A must have should you come to Erie. And to all the staff and cooks, I hope you are greatly rewarded for you character and esteem now and in the here after.

No. Pizza. Equals. This. Pizza....

I’m not the type to leave bad reviews. Go ahead and check my review history, you’ll see. But with this? I don’t even know where to start.

The pizza was super floppy, bordering undercooked. There was more cheese than sauce and crust, so if that’s your thing, more power to you. The sauce was pretty tasty, I’ll give it that, but with a crust that couldn’t support sauce, let alone the pounds of cheese on top, it made eating the pizza a messy pain.

So the wings?? Mid. Like so mid that you’re better off going to a chain place like Buffalo Wild Wings. We got the “Southside” flavor, which is supposed to be ranch, cajun, buffalo, and minced garlic. There were some that were decent, but most of the wings were kind of tough, not gonna lie. Like they had that leathery texture to them.

And the dessert?? That’s the worst part. Genuinely was looking forward to it. There was hardly any semblance of cinnamon on them. Instead, it tasted like store brand pillsbury canned dough, with some cheap frosting on top. And the frosting was pretty scarce too. To top it off, they were tougher to chew than the wings. Even microwaving them couldn’t save them.

All in all, flavors and such are a preference for sure, but most textures are not. Maybe you like floppy pizza, but I’ve never met anyone that enjoyed leathery wings and cinnamon pastries that sound like a rock if you drop them.

To clarify, the staff and service was on point. We ordered by phone and they were super helpful. They did absolutely nothing wrong, great customer service. But personally, the only thing I enjoyed was the flavor of the sauce. Everything else was a...

We called in an order on a random Wednesday afternoon, ordering alternatives to the regular menu. Ava took care of our order. She was delightful! The food was on point! The brick oven flavor really came through in the toasted rolls for our subs / hoagies, the salads were beautiful, crisp, perfectly balanced and delicious. Ava made sure to offer options regarding food allergies and food prep and even suggested fun places to go in the area. It was well worth the long trip for us! (*2 hours each way.) Everything was prepared as if my OCD had given precise instructions. Clean, bright, cordial atmosphere. Highly recommend. At pick up, all 4 employees I saw were helpful, happy and detailed.
