The Escape Game Milpitas — Attraction in Milpitas

I recently visited this escape room location, and while the experience had its fun moments, it ultimately left me feeling disappointed due to technical issues. We started with the space-themed game, which had some major glitches. We solved several puzzles, but because the devices in the game were malfunctioning, we had no idea that we were actually progressing. It felt frustrating not knowing if we were succeeding or failing, despite our best efforts. We expressed our dissatisfaction with the situation, and the staff kindly offered us 40% off a second game. Although we were still interested in trying again, the second game (deep sea theme) had its own set of glitches. Early in the game, it glitched again, and even when we provided the correct answer, the system said we were wrong.

While the staff was friendly and tried to be accommodating, I felt that offering 40% off didn’t fully address the issues. Ideally, the second game should have been offered for free, considering the problems we experienced during the first one.

Unfortunately, with the recurring glitches and the lack of a more thoughtful customer service solution, I don’t plan to return to this location. If you’re considering an escape room experience here, I’d suggest thinking twice, as the technical issues seem to be a consistent problem.

UPDATE: The manager reached out, refunded our previous games, and graciously extended an invitation for us to return. This level of customer service is unmatched, and I truly appreciate the kindness and consideration shown throughout the process. This is the best of all escape rooms and escape room locations!!! My kids and I have been spending their spring break here. It was a spur of the moment decision and because of the fun we had and the people here we just keep booking to come back!! The rooms are colorful, creative, challenging and fun with great mechanics and puzzles!! 🧩 thanks so much Travis, Max, Noah & Han for making this such a fun and lighthearted experience! They were so sweet to chat with the kids, they gave them drinks from a recent party & gifted us pins for doing so many rooms!! The Depths & Cosmic we solved just three of us (though cosmos is a stretch literally to do with three), Prison was hard even with 8 people but we still almost completed it!! Gold Rush & Heist were pleasantly challenging but completed with 4 people in under the hour with a bit of time to spare. The rooms are fun and engaging but I think we really kept coming back for the amazing staff. Travis made the kids a very sweet card to celebrate spring break!! Our experience at the Escape Room in Milpitas was nothing short of fantastic! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by Pen, who truly made our visit memorable! Initially, we encountered a hiccup with our booking, but Pen and Travis, the assistant manger, handled the situation with remarkable professionalism and efficiency. They quickly alleviated our concerns and even upgraded us to a better experience, which was a delightful surprise! Their commitment to customer service was evident. They were quick to address the issues, ensuring that our experience remained enjoyable and engaging. One of the standout features of this Escape Room is the ability to take pictures and videos during the experience. This is a rare perk that allowed us to capture some great memories, making our visit even more special. Overall, we left the Escape Room feeling excited and satisfied, and we can't wait to return! The combination of excellent customer service, a fun and challenging environment, and the opportunity to document our adventure makes this location a must-visit.
