Maybe we just got them on a bad day, but we were very underwhelmed with our tour. This tour was like a tour where the guide pointed out where there were other places to take a good tour. Didn't really stop for many photo ops. One of the big things we were excited for was the 'Bronze Fonz.' When the guide said it was coming up, we got pumped and were ready to get pics with it. Then a few moments later, as we drove by it, the guide pointed it out, about 30 yards away, and kept on going. Quite a disappointment. Luckily, after the tour was over, we had time to go back to the statue and get pics. It was cool to see the different sights, but it would have been much better to hear the history behind most of the places and some information about them. The only places that really got that treatment were places associated with beer. Lol. But that's pretty cool. It was mostly, 'well thats the X building', and kept moving. At one point the guide pointed out a Kohl's store. We thought he was just being silly and laughed. He seemed to actually get offended that we laughed about that. Was it a special Kohl's store that had some sort of significance to Milwaukee's history? No clue, no additional information was given, just like much of the rest of the tour. At one point when we actually did stop for a photo of and were done and ready to move on, the guide was in a bakery buying himself food. And a few minutes after the tour was over, every member of our group got a text message asking for tips. I'm not discouraging anyone from taking this tour, im just sharing our experience. If you're looking for a tour that provides lots of information, I dont think this is the one you want. If you're looking for a tour that shows places of interest that you can go to in your free time and find out more about,...
Read moreThereâs very little to recommend about this tour! Hereâs why: Lack of heat in vehicles during winter. It wasnât just cold, it was cold to the point of being miserable. This includes lack of windshield defroster which meant driver was hand wiping the windshield the entire time. The vehicle handles very poorly on snowy roads and barely escaped being hit by oncoming traffic on more than one occasion & rolling through stop signs cuz canât stop properly. Itâs also very loud, and not a smooth ride. Also in winter, there arenât really any stops although website advertises âamazing photos ops.â The tour itself wasnât very detailed or âiconic.â We were truly disappointed in the lack of detail & overall quality. Add to this, the company automatically added a 15% gratuity to the bill which you donât see until after checkout. Then they have the nerve to send a text after the tour; asking customers to tip- AGAIN!! Donât go & if you decide to waste your time and money definitely donât...
Read moreWeâve been on many city tours around the country and, while this wasnât a bad tour, it was not anywhere near as good as others weâve taken, especially for the money. The cost for two people was $134. We usually take a tour rather than just driving around ourselves because we want to know about the history of the city and details and history of the various buildings and landmarks we are viewing. I sat in the third row of the golf cart on the driverâs side, where there were two high back seats in front of me. The tour guide pointed out the sights by literally pointing them out with hand gestures, which I was unable to see from my seat. . When we stopped briefly, I mentioned I couldnât see his hands and asked him if he could please verbalize what was coming up (i.e, coming up on your right isâŚâŚ.etc). Unfortunately, he went right back to hand gestures which more than annoyed me. Very little detail in the tourâŚmostly pointing out various businesses and buildings. ...
