Envy Nails Hennepin (formerly Always) — Attraction in Minneapolis

i’ve been meaning to write a review for this establishment for quite some time now but i always forget. this morning as i was booking my next appointment, i decided it was finally time. this is the only place i’ll get my nails done and i’ll only go to kim. she takes my vision and makes it perfection. she cares so much about the fine details. from intricate designs to the nail shape, imperfections that i’ve been satisfied with in the past because of previous nail technicians, she is not satisfied. she will redo a design until it’s up to HER standards. she will mix my perfect color for me if she doesn’t have it (which is saying a lot because this place has nearly every color you could ever hope for). the prices are super reasonable, i never feel rushed. if im not happy with something, they redo it right then and there no questions asked. i dont have to feel guilty about voicing whether or not im happy with the outcome and this means i always leave satisfied. i get a pedicure and acrylics every time and its one of the most affordable places to go in the twin cities. they have multiple talented technicians, im just loyal to kim. it’s super easy to make appointments and they are generally always right on time. they are so accommodating and sweet.

also as a trans girl, i’ve always felt welcomed and accepted. i’ve seen straight guys getting pedicures. it doesn’t matter who you are, they will take care of you every single time and i’ll forever be obsessed with envy nails. highly recommend to everyone i come into contact with. i get compliments on my nails constantly and always tell them where i got them done. if you’re looking for a new place to go, come here. they will treat you right.

Update: I’ve been coming here regularly for over a year and unfortunately think I have to find a new place. The last appointment I had involved an incredibly rude technician who did my pedicure and has also done my dip manicure before - but she’s always been rude and abrasive in her touch. This environment requires a warm touch and I left feeling really bad, honestly… like I was inconveniencing her. I really try to go out of my way to be polite and grateful for services so it left me feeling confused and bummed out.

What I’m really sad about is that after less than 2 weeks, my toenails need to be redone. Like no swimming, spring pedicure with half of my nails without polish. Disappointed.

I went with a friend and I got a basic Mani deluxe Pedi (no color on my fingers) and they got the deluxe color on both. we had a great experience and everyone in the shop dresses super cute and the whole staff is friendly and welcoming. call ahead and schedule an appointment as they do get busy. The shop is extremely clean and smells really nice with soft music and room to wait and relax.

I had Quinn as my technician and they did a beautiful job. I hadn't done my cuticles in 2 months and they look so so so much healthier now. same with my heels. Quinn had a firm handed massage which really helped with the circulation in my legs. 10/10 definitely will be back for all basic routine services. will update review next time I ask for...
