Scheduled an appointment for Saturday, 2/5 at 10am for a couples massage through the Sabai website. It was a surprise gift for my girlfriend.
We received the links for the release forms, texts making sure to confirm the appointment (including one at 9:45am the day of the appointment). When we arrived, the location was closed. At about 10:05, two employees came to open the location, and asked if we had an appointment. I explained we did, and showed the texts I had received from them; one of the employees told says “ We don’t schedule appointments at 10am.”
The other employee asks if we want to come in to try and sort it out. We enter, and we were informed that they don’t have any record of our appointment, and we could reschedule. I ask if there is anything available the rest of the day, and was told there wasn’t; in fact, they were booked the next few weekends. I was asked for my phone number, so the manager can reach out.
We step outside, and I pull up their online portal for scheduling, and it shows availability throughout the entire day Saturday, including an option to call if I wanted to get in for 10:30am. I go back in and show them that their website is showing openings all day, to which the response was “Oh.”
I waited a couple of days before posting a review, in case I did get contacted by the manager. As of today, I have heard nothing back. Not only was it a mild inconvenience to have the appointment not honored, it completely ruined what was supposed to be a romantic surprise for my girlfriend. Definitely won’t be...
Read moreI scheduled a couple's massage for my boyfriend and I. He wasn't able to make it so I brought my friend along instead. Ursula opens the door, and before she even says hello, she goes" you're early", followed by I thought your boyfriend was coming. So I had to explain to her He wasn't able to make it. So I brought my friend. Then I asked her if being 10 minutes early was an issue? She said no it's good to be early. If it's good to be early, what was the purpose of you commenting on our early arrival.
She takes us back to our room. We sit there. She says that the second masseuse kat or Katie was on the way. About 10 minutes later she comes back into the room and says oh the second masseuse is not going to be coming. I'm the only one here so I can only do one massage.
My friend and I both declined to take the massage from Ursula. A couple's massage was scheduled for a reason so that we could do a side-by-side relaxation session. Just the unprofessionalism from the time we arrived, to the masseuse canceling 10 minutes after we arrived was more than enough to not ever return to this facility for us. I've only been here one other time, and had a poor experience that time as well. The masseuse was telling me the type of pressure that she was going to do versus what I told her I needed and asked for. Ugh, super frustrating. Definitely don't let that men this...
Read moreThe services provided by Stephanie were great. However, that was not the case for her partner, who seemed to be very inexperienced. She was unable to make the necessary adjustments to the massage experience, even though this was communicated to her several times. It was not about a massage style, but having a basic understanding of human anatomy, and where the muscles are connected. There was no continuity in her movements, and she kept putting pressure in almost all the wrong spots, even when she got the deep tissue intensity request figured out. She didn't understand deep tissue and how that technique is incorporated into a muscle relaxation process. Her movements were disconnected and not relaxing at all. We were a bit disappointed with that half of the couple’s service, and to pay a full price for a service that appeared to be at the...
